"Oh! I know that name." Olive pointed to the red wings Jersey. They decided to go to Rally house first, then they'd split up when Jack and Olive went to Spencers.

"You know Seider?" Jack asked, staring questionably at the girl beside him.

"Yeah, Kassie is like in love with him and a million other guys but I remember his name cause I love apple cider." Jack laughed at her response, nodding as he moved to look at the price of the jersey.

"He's a cool guy, great player too." Jack mumbled, dropping the tag and turning to face her.

"You know him personally?"

"We've had a few meetings. We met at the draft, passed a few compliments. Other than that it's just been him going against me on the ice." Jack told her, smiling behind her and she turned around, letting out a breathy laugh to what he was looking at.

"Didn't think they sold shit here." Olive stated, face scrunching in disgust at the green section.

"Go blue!" Luke shouted out, noticing what they were staring at.

"Hail!" Someone shouted from the other side of the store.

"Nice subtlety, Luke." Olive joked, and the boy shrugged, his arms full of Michigan attire. "You literally play for the hockey team, don't you have enough of this crap?" She asked, stepping over to him to look at the two sweatshirts, t-shirt and mug he had.

"You can never have enough. You should get one, you're always wearing the most random shit to our games and—"

"No way."

"Ollie, c'mon, rep the wolverines or I'm gonna tell the guys you're switching to the dark side." Luke nodded to the michigan state section and Olive let out a prolonged sigh.

"Fine." She muttered, walking over to the sweaters. She grabbed something simple, blue with 'michigan' embroided in maize on the chest. "By the way, the last game I went to, I wore one of Marks jerseys." Olive said and Luke smiled wide, seeing the sweater in her hands.

"I know, he didn't shut up about it for a whole week."

"Alright, we done here?" Quinn asked, already having his bag in hand, too impatient to wait for them to check out.

"Yeah, we should get out before we have to drag Lukey by his ankles." Jack teased, placing a hand on Olives shoulder as they went to check out.

Luke paid first, and as Olive went to take out her card, she was stopped, "here, he's making you get it so I'll buy it." Jack said, his card already out and going towards the reader.

Olive panicked, remembering what Kassie said, "no, no, no—i got it, it's fine. I can—" but the card tapped the screen and Olive had no choice. He paid.

Its just one thing though, it doesn't mean anything. She just can't let it happen again. It won't happen again, he had good reasoning for it. Luke was making her buy it when she didn't want to, so, Jack was just being nice. It wasn't like he was burning a hole in his wallet.

After checking out, Quinn said something about meeting at the food court later but Olive hadn't been paying too much attention. She couldn't stop overthinking it all. She didn't want it to be a date, she was still adjusting to being friends with Jack.

"It's so dark in here." Jack stated as they walked into Spencers. He looked so out of place, Olive found it hilarious. His gray polo shirt, khaki shorts and tennis shoes made him look like something right off a golfing advertisement. Not a boy in a Spencers.

"You need to like, spice up your style." She told him, she didn't pay much attention to his outfit before but now she was kind of embarrassed to be seen beside him.
