Olive wasn't entirely sure what had come over her. Yeah, she loved the mall but agreeing to go with the Hughes brothers? That wasn't something she'd normally do.Cameron wasn't happy when she said she'd be leaving early to go hang out with them, but she didn't really care. Maybe she was proving a point, on how she could do what she wanted. Maybe she was beginning to take a liking to Jack, especially when she realized he wasn't just a pretty face and big ego.
Parking at the end of the driveway of the big suburban neighborhood, Olive wasn't surprised by the three story, white painted home. The grass was mowed to the perfect length, bright and green. It was something straight out of a poster, with the perfect all American family inside.
She texted Jack when she got there, too nervous to knock on the door in case one of his parents opened it. Moments later, the three came running out, shouting to each other. Olive got out of her car, making sure she had everything she needed before locking it.
"Ollie!" Luke exclaimed, almost surprised to see her, "this is so strange." He laughed, earning a smile from the girl.
"Tell me 'bout it, I still don't know what I'm doing here." She told him, walking up to the car that they were all stood by. Quinn was getting into the drivers seat, while Jack tried to shove Luke from getting into passenger.
"Dude, just get into the back." Luke pushed his brother and Jack muttered out a few curses at the younger.
"Why doesn't Olive just get up front?" Quinn asked and she shook her head, hating sitting in the front when someone else was driving.
"I'm fine with the back." She told him, opening the door behind the driver's side. Jack decided to let Luke have the front, climbing into the backseat alongside Olive.
Olive had warn a sweatshirt, despite it being nearly eighty degrees outside. She wanted to cover her tattoos, and the hickeys, which didn't seem to fade much beneath the concealer she applied. The car was hot though, even as Quinn turned on the AC.
"You didn't actually have to hide the tattoos, y'know? Plus it's only us, right now." Jack said, noticing how she'd put a sweatshirt on. Olive nodded, she didn't know why the hickeys were such a big problem to her. They were kinda gross, made her feel shameful of herself and what she'd done with Cameron.
Taking off the sweatshirt, she was left in a thin purple crop top. She didn't her best to adjust her hair over her neck, but it was usually as Cameron made sure people could see what he'd left. She liked Cameron, maybe more than she'd admit. He was a thrill seaker and somehow he knew if he wanted to do something, he could get Olive to tag along.
But the idea of dating him had always felt off, like she wouldn't trust him as her boyfriend the way she did as her friend.
"You know where I'm going first?" Luke asked, getting comfortable in the front seat as Quinn pulled out from the driveway.
"Victoria secret?" Jack teased, earning a laugh from the girl beside him. They were sat by the windows, but he'd been moved halfway into the middle to see a clear view of his brothers.
"Dude, shut up. I'm going to Rally house." Luke retorted and Jack perked up excitedly.
"Oh, we're so going!"
