They all walk up to the area. "Nancy why don't you take a seat and we'll just go and book in"Gabby says. "Will do"Nancy says as she goes and takes a seat. "Hi there we've got an appointment booked for 2pm with Dr Lacey"Gabby says. "Hi what's your name please"the receptionist asks. "Sorry my name is Gabriela Dawson"Gabby said. "Thanks Gabriela"the receptionist said. "We was wondering if we can schedule our 28th week appointment with the midwife please"Gabby asks. "Yes we're allowed to book appointments and is it your birth plan"the receptionist said. "Yes please our midwife is Natalie Manning"Gabby says. "Let me take a look at the calendar"the receptionist sad as she scrolled on her computer. "Gabby why don't you drink your first bottle of water"Matt said as Gabby was handed one from her fiancé.
"We've got an appointment either on the 18th or 19th of May at the evening"the receptionist said. "Is one of them a mid morning appointment by the way"Matt asks. "There's one at 11am on the 19th May"the receptionist said. "We'll take it"Matt says. "Appointment booked for the 19th May with Natalie Manning and I'll just go and let Dr Lacey know that you're waiting"the receptionist said. "Thanks I'll be just sitting over there"Gabby said. "Ok"the receptionist said as Gabby and Matt go and sit down next to Nancy. "Is everything ok son"Nancys said. "Everything is good we've just booked our 28th week appointment with our midwife"Matt said. "Thats booked so far ahead"Nancy said. "Yes the appointment is to go over our birth plan and good job we did as they're fully booked"Matt says as Gabby was drinking her second bottle of water.
"Gabby Matt I suppose as you're having twins everything is done more and more"Nancy said. "Yes mom thats right"Matt said. "While they talk more Dr Lacey comes out of her room for her next patient. The clock now says 1:15pm and as Gabby Matt and Nancy have arrived early and as Dr Lacey's next patient hasn't turned up so she calls for her 2pm patient. "Gabriela Dawson"Dr Lacey said. "I'm here doctor we've got an extra with u today"Gabby says. As Gabby Matt and Nancy gets off their seats they walk to the room with Dr Lacey for their sonogram. "Why don't you take a seat on the bed Gabby and Matt and take a seat"the doctor said. "Sorry Doctor Lacey this is May mom Nancy"Matt says. "Thanks doctor"Nancy says as Doctor Lacey opens up Gabriela's notes on the computer to start the appointment.
"Gabriela how have you been since I last saw you as it states that you're still having back pain"Dr Lacey says. "Yes my back pain is hurting still my feet are starting to get swollen and other changes"Gabby said. "These changes are to do with your pregnancy and hormones and getting ready for when you give birth"Dr Lacey said. "Yes I know thats to be expected"Gabby says. "Are you keeping your BP and any stress levels down"doctor asks. "Of course doctor as everything is written down in my pregnancy file"Gabby says. "I can see that Gabby and I'll do you anther prescription which you can pick up from your local doctors"doctor said. "Mom these are routine questions and checks"Matt said. "Because Gabby's carrying twins"Nancy said. 'That's right mom"Matt said. "Why don't we have a check and see your babies on the screen"Doctor Lacey said.
"Yes please we've been waiting for this moment for the last two weeks"Gabby said. "Are you ready to meet your grandchildren on the screen mom"Matt asks. "Yes son I'm ready"Nancy said. "Gabby can you lift your top up please while I feel your stomach before we do the sonogram"Dr Lacey says as Gabby lifts it up. "I can tell you that everything so far is going well now let do that sonogram for you guys"doctor said as the machine is ready for use.
"Gabby this gift feel cold as I put this gel on you"doctor said. "Thats ok I'm use to it now"Gabby said as Doctor Lacey moves the probe over Gabby's stomach. "This tickles me"Gabby said as the doctor goes over Gaby's stomach the twins appear on the screen. "Mom look at the screen"Matt said. "There's your twins Gabby Matt and Nancy"the doctor said. "Yes mom there's your granddaughters there it makes everything soo reassuring that they're safe and well growing inside of Gabby"Matt said. "I didn't have any of this when I was pregnant with you and your sister I couldn't even. Find out what I was expecting"Nancy said.
As Doctor Lacey carries on moving the probe over Gabby's stomach as she does this she gets loads of pictures of their identical twin girls. "I'm soo happy that you invited me today to see my granddaughter"Nancy said. "You're welcome Nancy"Gabby said. "It's amazing isn't it seeing them on screen Gabby"Nancy said. "Yes it is Nancy"Gabby said. "Your girls look small but thats not worrying me"doctor said. "Is there a problem"Matt asks. "There's no problem unless your BP goes too high"Doctor Lacey said. "Can we have loads of pictures please"Gabby asks. "Here they are guys"doctor said as she handed them over.
"Can we have our next appointment scheduled please"Gabby says. "Next one is in two weeks time is in April, I've got either the 14th 15th or 17th and there all morning ones"doctor said. "Can we have the 14th please"Matt says. "Yes it 11:30am alright"the doctor said. "Yes 11:30am is great for us"they both say. "I see you've just scheduled your midwife appointment"doctor says. "Yes we've just done that and we'll be off now doctor"Gabby says.
It's now 2:30pm and Gabby, Matt and Nancy all head out of the hospital and they all get in the car so Matt can drive away.....
