"The Avengers compound?" You're not entirely surprised at this. You were shot and this was probably the only place they could take you without raising questions. "Isn't this supposed to be a secure facility that not many know about?"
"I have a feeling that you already knew about the compound and it's location."
"You're not wrong." You shrug, hopping off the bed and standing up. You roll your shoulder, pleased when it only twinges slightly in pain. With a wave of your hand, blue mist surrounds the injury, taking away the pain and repairing your suit in the process.
Bruce watches with interest, wanting to ask questions but not wanting to overstep his boundaries. You notice his hesitance, smirking slightly beneath your helmet. "You can ask one question and I'll answer it honestly."
He stays silent for a moment, likely trying to think of the best possible question to ask. There's hundreds of questions he could think of but none really will result in an answer that will explain multiple things. Eventually he settles on a rather simple one. "What does your mist stuff do?"
"A few different things." You hold your hand palm up, allowing the mist to surround it so he can get a better look at it. "What you saw just now was me using it to repair my suit and take away the little pain I felt. I can't heal with it though- only take pain away. It can also take control over people which I only really use to force them to fall unconscious. Basically, it's telepathy, telekinesis, and illusions."
Bruce is intrigued by what little you have told him. "Is there anything else you can do?"
"I already answered your one question that I allowed." You point out, making your mist disappear. Reaching behind him, you grab the glove that Tony had removed from your hand and put it back on. "I'm guessing you tried to run my prints to figure out who I am."
Bruce rubs the back of his neck, likely feeling a bit sheepish that you figured it out rather quickly. "You can't exactly blame us for trying."
"It must be nerve-wracking having a complete stranger in your home. I mean, you all know absolutely nothing about me and yet I know everything about you. I'd want to figure things out too if I were in your shoes." You start moving around the room, picking up random things. "So, when do I get to officially meet the rest of the Avengers?"
"Uh, now, I suppose." The ends of his sentence lilts up making it seem more like a question. He motions for you to follow him as he exits the room, heading to where the others are likely waiting. You look around as you walk down the hall, Alice scanning and mapping out the building as you do. You're mostly checking for the nearest exits should things take a turn for the worse. That and you're also nosy.
"Most of the others probably aren't here at the moment." Bruce wrings his hands together as he talks, obviously feeling a bit nervous.
"That's fine." You move to walk next to him rather than behind him. "I'm sure I'll meet them all at some point."
The two of you soon enter a rather large room that appears to be the living room due to the multiple couches and television inside. The few people inside the room instantly stand up upon noticing you both, their conversation halting. Glancing around the room, you recognize every person from earlier- Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton. The only person missing is Spider-Man aka Peter Parker. Though, you'll refrain from letting anyone know you know his true identity.
"Everyone, this is Glitch." Bruce motions towards you as he introduces you to the team. You lazily raise a hand in greeting, not getting anything in return. The group looks you over, likely trying to decide if you're still a threat or not. Technically, you never really were a threat to them. At least not in your own mind. The only reason you showed any form of hostility was because they threatened you first.
"Glitch?" Tony finally breaks the awkward silence. "Interesting name. I'm assuming it's an alias, though. Perhaps it has something to do with your powers?"
His tone makes it obvious he's being a smart ass which makes you roll your eyes. "Astounding observation. I do hope you're better at science than you are at basic understanding. If not, your little dream team is screwed. Then again, I was able to hack your systems embarrassingly easy."
The others seem a bit stunned to hear that you managed to hack Stark's systems. Though, it shouldn't be that shocking since you hacked his suit literally the first day you met. Maybe they just didn't expect you to have already hacked their systems so soon after waking up.
"Anyways, I suppose it's nice to officially meet all of you. You know, now that you're not actively trying to fight me. Or at least I hope you're not." You mumble the last bit under your breath, quiet enough that it isn't able to be heard through your helmet.
"We won't become hostile if you don't." Steve states as he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Same here."
"Now that we're all best friends can we move onto something more interesting?" Tony interrupts, clapping his hands together.
"Is now really the time?" Bruce looks from Tony to you, obviously already knowing what he's talking about. "She just woke up after being shot."
Tony motions at you as his eyes trail up and down your figure. "She's obviously fine, Banner. I doubt a little sparring will cause any harm."
You quirk a brow at this, a tiny bit surprised. Not because he wants you to spar with the others but because he wants to get it over with already. Maybe it's because he's feeling impatient and just wants you gone already. Then again, maybe he's just curious as to what all you can do and wants to see it first hand. He likely wants to learn as much as he can while you're there since this is the first time he couldn't simply search someone to figure every little thing out about them. You're a complete mystery to him and everyone else.
"I'm down for a little sparring." You shrug as you pat Bruce on the back to get him to lighten up a bit. "Shall we?"
The others watch as you walk out of the room, not bothering to wait for them as you instantly begin to make your way to the training room. They all exchange looks before following after you, impressed and slightly alarmed that you know your way around the compound after only walking around it for less than ten minutes. None of them know how to feel about you yet but they all can tell that there's a lot more to you than they could possibly hope to know. The question is whether or not those things are good.
