Seokjin doesn't say or do anything in reaction to what I just told him. He only sits there looking at me as if I'm stupid. Maybe it was a bad idea to tell him that out of nowhere. What reason does he have to believe me? Actually, there are many reason to believe me, and I managed to convince Namjoon of it, so surely I can make Seokjin believe me as well. At least I hope so, otherwise I'll just seem like a total freak to him for claiming to be from the future.
"Have you truly lost it?" he finally says. "What do you mean you're from the future?"
"It's exactly what it sounds like. I came here in a time machine a few weeks ago. I was supposed to go back yesterday but I didn't make it in time. Now I'm stuck here."
"Oooookay... so what you're telling me is that you're crazy."
"No, I'm telling you that I'm from the future. That's why I know all the little things about you. And Namjoon and Jungkook for that matter too. You're one of the friends I was hoping would bring me back to the future. You were the one who made the machine in the first place, with our friends' help, of course."
A brilliant idea suddenly strikes me like lightning. Seokjin made the machine! He's the genius behind it, so surely he can make another one! I excitedly grab onto his shoulders and he's a bit taken aback by my behavior.
"Hyung! You can make a new one!"
He blinks at me in confusion.
"I can what now?"
"Make a new time machine! You can save me!"
He actually looks at me like I've lost my mind. He takes my hands away from his shoulders with a slightly disgusted face.
"Look, I don't know what's gotten into you all of a sudden, but you're acting really weird."
"No, just think about it. Even when we first met I already knew your name. You said my cooking tastes like your mom's because you were the one who taught me how to cook! It's the truth."
"Hold up just a second. If you're actually from the future and supposedly know me so well, wouldn't that mean that you're Jungkook? The little one, but now you're grown up?"
I nod vigorously.
"Yes, exactly! I'm Jeon Jungkook, your childhood friend and neighbor! In the future we work at the same lab to create the time machine."
Seokjin doesn't know what to say. I must seem terribly crazy to him right now, but there's no helping it. He's my only option. He can get me home, I know he can!
"You don't really look like Jungkook," he says quite hesitantly. "I mean, you're similar but I wouldn't go as far as to call you the same person."
"No, look, I have a mole under my lip just like him. I'm older, so of course we won't look exactly the same, I mean, puberty happened at some point. There's also the shape of the nose that's the same. Oh, and look at my arm!" I show him the inside of my arm with the recent scar. "When he burned his arm at the restaurant, I also got burned. It healed right away though."
He carefully looks at my, arm but he's still not convinced.
"That could just be a regular old scar that you got from literally anything. Time travel is not possible. Even if it was, how would I be able to build a time machine from scratch? You're just spewing nonsense."
"No, I swear on my life that it's all true. If you think about it, you would know. If you really want evidence, then go ask Namjoon. I've already told him everything and he believes me."
"If he believes you then why'd you get kicked out?"
He makes a good point, but those are unrelated matters.
