Hellebore Penitentiary was gracious enough to give me a journal and pen while I carried out my sentence. Life in this hellhole is what they said and I accepted it quietly. My spine lay on my concrete bed of mine while I wrote down my thoughts when a shadow man appeared in my cell. He stood before me but he was still ruined–still a fragment of a man that my girl destroyed. Still, he was in front of me as though he was looking for me through the prison. I was not terrified of him, even when he was surrounded by shadows. "Where is she?" Erebus ordered.
I shook my head. "Kill me if you must, but I will never let you near her ever again." Sure, I was surprised he came back because killing a God was never easy. Erebus was stubborn enough to seek her out again, to find her. But she is living her life now and I was not about to give that up. Erebus glanced at me for a second, noticing the black prison jumpsuit I wore, and tilted his lips up in a smirk. "What do you want from me?"
"She chose you," he said.
It was my turn to smirk. "She did, Erebus. Unlike you, I did not cage her and force her to marry me. I let her make her own goddamn choice when it comes to her feelings for me. You may have fucked her but I have her heart. Me, the fucking Vampire you hate so much. How does it feel to lose her?"
"I was about to ask the same thing," he replied. "Tell me, would she come running to save you when she finds out I have you in chains?" Before I could say anything, his shadows swarmed my entire body as they took it out of my cell and prison and somewhere else. It was dark and I wanted to grasp for any sort of light, but there was nothing but whispers of the shadows in my mind. It grew louder and louder until there was nothing but the voices swarming every thought. Soari. Soari. Soar...Sor.
Welcome to the shadow realm, Amias Guinevere.
"You will be mine, Lianna."
