You stepped right outside the cave in view of the monster and yelled at the top of your lungs. "Hey, monster! I'm over here!" You flailed your arms in the air and jumped up and down drawing as much attention to you as possible. And just like magic, the monster immediately turned to face you. "Grrraaawrrr! HEAAAAARTT!" He started to move, running towards you as quickly as the monster with no legs could run.
You steadied yourself, feet planted in the ground and fists balled. "He's coming our way guys, get ready!"
"Grrurghh... Huuumannnnsss heaaarttt... Huuumaaaans preeeeciouuus heaaaart! Saaaaaveee meeee... Giiiveee heaaart!" It started to throw punches, leaving Ace, Deuce and Grim to watch on the sidelines as you danced with the monster, gears turning in your mind.
(What did it mean by 'save me'?? Oh shoot! Figure that out later (Y/N), focus on the task at hand!) You narrowly dodge a punch after being absorbed in your mind for a spell.
"Eep! If it lands one of those punches, you're toast!" Grim squeaked out from the corner.
"Not helping!" You yelled out before dodging yet another punch. You'd noticed this earlier but every time his arm or fist or any gooey body part came close to you, your hair stood on end and said goo would be pulled to you like metal to a magnet.
Deciding you could figure that out later, you were ready to move on to the next stage of the plan. "Alright, Grim. Let's lure him as far away from the cave as we can." And so, the sprint began. You grabbed Grim and ran away, carrying him as if he were a balloon in your hand.
You had to run for a while and the throbbing pain in your feet didn't help in the slightest but you had to keep going. (I really need to work on my endurance more... It's been so long since I was last at judo club, I'm probably a sorry sight to them...) You sighed.
You had run for a while holding Grim tightly to your chest. You made it quite far from the mine, although you weren't sure how far, it was far enough. "We got him a good distance away from the mine!" Grim breathed out, it seems as though he'd been holding his breath the entire way.
You nodded at him before turning to face Ace and Deuce. You took at deep breath and yelled at the top of your lungs. "Now!"
Ace heard the signal and smirked. "You bet. I got this! One extra-large gust of wind, comin' up!" Ace took out his glimmering vermillion coloured gemstone pen out of his chest pocket and aimed it towards the monster sending gusts of wind your way.
"With a side of Grim's blazin'-hot fire! MYAAAH!" He quickly flew out of your arms and summoned a long trail of fire towards the monster. The wind of Ace's magic in addition with Grim's fire created a blazing fire tornado of sorts. Though, it was a little puny it definitely looked like it could do some damage since the wind amplified the heat of the fire.
The monster in question was too focused on apprehending you and didn't notice the incoming wave of attacks. "Grrraaahhh?!" As the monster was surrounded by a large ring of flames, Ace swiftly made it over to your guys' sides.
Grim and Ace stood beside each other now as you stood there proud that they finally cooperated. Well, until Ace had to sully the moment. "How's that taste?! With my winds fanning them, even Grim's feeble flames can become and inferno!" Ace smiled.
Grim was standing pridefully up until that comment, he immediately snapped his head towards Ace. "Whaddaya mean 'feeble'?! Ya really don't know when to shut yer mouth, do ya?!"
(Well, I have to agree with that. At least Grim didn't indulge the fight.) You quickly patted Grim on the head for being the bigger person and yelled out once more. "Now's our chance!"
Deuce heard the signal and took out an identical vermillion gemstone pen and pointed it at the monster hesitantly. "Just stay calm, aim carefully... And pull out the biggest, heaviest thing I can think of... Get'em, cauldron!"
A large cauldron was summoned from the sky... and landed right on top of the monster. "Gwaaah?!" The monster stumbled forward, landing on its front with a big, black pot blocking its movement.
Grim laughed maniacally while making his way over to your shoulder. "Nailed it! The plan's workin'! Look, (Y/N)!" Grim smiled devilishly while pointing at the monster with his whole paw. "That monster got smashed flat by a falling cauldron, just like Ace did!" He snickered
Ace glared at him, putting a hand on his hip. "Coulda done without the reminder, thanks! This has been one drag after another." The ginger sighed.
"Quick! While it's distracted, we need to get that magestone!" You all made a run for the cave, sprinting as a fast as you guys could.
"Guh?! Waaait! Nooooooo!"

You'd assumed you guys wouldn't have you guys wouldn't have to run too far as Grim had dropped it near where you guys had fought the monster and you were right. It was a beautiful stone, it was mainly a crystal clear turquoise colour with hints of red and green. Somehow, it shinned even in a dark mine such as here.
"That's it! That's our magestone!" Deuce cried out in pure glee.
"Dooon't tooouch thaaaaat!" The monster yelled, it had nearly escaped its round prison. Clawing its way out, its face (although it had none) radiated pain and desperation. Human emotions, from something you thought was a monster. But... why?
You all stepped back in shock, you'd think a big cauldron would keep a creature steady for at least 2 if not more minutes. Uh-oh! Looks like it nearly wriggled free!" Ace warned.
"Hey, Deuce! You gotta add more weight!" Grim trembled in your arms, thinking of what were to happen if it broke free.
Deuce didn't know what to do. He stood there for a moment before uncertainly pulling out is magical pen. "Y-you mean something heavier? Uh..." He was drawing a blank. But, you know what they say; 'if it ain't broke don't fix it.' "I summon thee, cauldron! And also, uh... Um..." Drawing a blank? Do the same thing again! "Another cauldron! And a cauldron on top of that! All of the cauldrons!"
"Pft—" You had to hold back a laugh as the boy in front of you unceremoniously summoned cauldron after cauldron after cauldron on the poor creature, squashing it even further.
"Nnngaaaah!"
"Is that the only thing you know how to summon?!" Ace criticized. He was a bit... in shock after seeing about 14 cauldrons fall from the sky.
"Pipe down already! I'm worked up enough as it is!" Deuce retorted with a shaking hand. After deciding that was enough he carefully put his pen back in his chest pocket and sighed of relief.
"We got the magestone! Now let's get outta here!" Grim commanded, gripping onto your shirt as you readied yourself.
"Roger that!" Ace yelled out.
"MYYY STOOOOOOONE!"
