It's already past lunch and I'm famished. I just woke up from my long nap. I checked the phone beside me to order something but instead I saw the 12 missed calls from Nygt. I tried calling her back but she's not answering my calls. Is she busy? But they don't have classes today.
'I should go to her instead.' I thought and changed to something casual and sprayed perfume and after that I picked up my house and car keys and drive my way to her house.
I smiled at the thought of her. Wait. Should I buy some flowers? Oh and food I guess so we can eat together. I stopped by to some shops and when I arrived it's already dark when I arrived at her house.
Their house was still bright and so I tried to call her again but she ended the call. I frowned and got confused.
Maybe she just mis-clicked.
I called her again but she's not answering again I sent her a message and a few moments later I saw the door of her house opening. She's frowning...and it's a bit ominous.
"Nygt baby? What's wrong?" tanong ko sa kanya habang tinitignan ng maigi ang ekspresyon nya.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Aniya at saka binuksan ang gate. Her face calmed down when she looked at my hands full of things.
"Ano yan?" sabi nya at nag-crossarms.
"It's my gifts for you today. A flower bouquet for you, foods to eat tonight and some CDs I bought on the way here. I want to spend time with you today...that is, if it's alright with you." I explained but she instead hugged me. I jolted and I feel like my cheeks are burning.
"Uhm..a-a-uhm..Nygt? Are you okay? May nangyari ba?" nag-aalalang tanong ko sa kanya.
"Akala ko kasi nakalimutan mo na. Hindi ka kasi sumasagot kanina sa tawag tapos sabi mo sabay tayong mag-lunch to celebrate."
"Celebrate?" Ano meron ngayong araw? It's not monthsary or anniversary. There's no way I would forget it. It's not her birthday either.
"Yes, sabi mo sabi mo kasi mag lunch date tayo to celebrate Valentine's Day pero di mo naman sinasagot tawag ko kanina kaya akala ko nakalimutan mo na. Ay sorry Dawn halika tuloy ka gabi na." I froze.
"What?"
Is it today? It's Valentine's Day already? 😶 I looked at the things I've brought.
"Anong what? Pasok na tayo malamig dito sa labas." sagot nya na nakangiti.
"AH! Oo nga pala teka di mo pa ko binabati." she said and looked at me.
"I --uh-- Happy Valentine's Day Nygt! Dawn loves you so much ha~ha!" I said as normal as I can.
"Eh? That's weird Dawn."she replied but then she helped me bring the things inside.
I forgot that we supposed to have a date today. Thanks to the gifts I brought that I escaped from the disaster.
