I eat out in the living room today and nurse my throbbing head. How much did I drink? Probably a shit load and if you can’t remember anything they could’ve had to pump your stomach or something, I tell myself miserably. Just then a little voice decides to pop into my head and send what’s left of my brains into mush.

You drank more then about ten shots, you should be so proud. Chris’s sarcastic voice came through and I dropped my dry cereal on the ground and swore all of the curses I could at him through my brain. Oh, sorry, FORGOT THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A HANG OVER MY VOICE ECHOES AND YOU NEARLY DIE. He yells inside my brain and I call him literally any threat I could think of. Just get ready for school before your late. He reminds me and I fumble with putting on my clothes and just put my hair in a messy bun.

“Dan! Get up! We’re going to be late for school!” I yell but find him already in the kitchen, finishing his bagel. “Why aren’t you hung over?” I ask. I’ve seen when Dan is hung over and he definitely doesn’t look like the Dan before me right now. When Dan’s hung over his hair is in a terrible plop on top of his head and he doesn’t get dressed very well and he complains all the time.

“Oh, I guess it’s my powers specialties. It’s pretty awesome! I can get as drunk as I want and not have to suffer the consequences of a hang over later! Sucks for you!” he chimes and puts his plate in the sink.

I grumble about this being totally unfair and slam the door shut behind me and wince at the pounding in my head. “Who has a party on a Thursday night anyway? She could’ve just waited until today so we wouldn’t all have to go to school the next day.”

He just shrugged and drove us to school slowly and carefully so it took us twenty minutes. “Here, I can at least help a little.” he said and kissed the tip of my nose. Well, it didn’t make my pounding headache go away, but it did make me smile.

Ms. Wolfs was the last person I wanted to see, but I slouched down in my seat next to the Vectors (A/N that’s what Lavender called Hector and Victor since their always together). I was surprised to see Avery in a completely great mood flirting with some guy that she was sitting next to.

“How are you not hung over?” I asked after the guy went to go turn in his homework or something.

She looked over at me and smiled. “Please, as if I would get a hang over just from drinking a little?” she says. She sounds more like the Avery she use to be, the one where nothing affected her.

“You drank like, a crap load of shots with the guys.” I explain and she smiles.

“Yeah, I did, but in Japan, their parties are much more exciting and their alcohol is way better then the cheap kind that Laura had that night.”

Lucky, she’s not even affected by it. Ms. Wolfs looks back at our little group with her beady little eyes that seriously creep my out. “You eight, Mr. C. wants to see you immediately.” she says and we all don’t wait around since her lesson seems extremely boring today.

Mr. C. green office and brown furniture has changed a lot since yesterday. Now the walls are purple and the furniture is a turquiose green that makes it look awesome. “Alright, today is especially hot, so we’re going out in the morning. You know what to do.” he says and we head out to the field.

It’s incredibly hot. Like, dessert-in-the-middle-of-summer hot. I’m already sweating and we’ve barely even been outside, I may not be able to be burnt, but clearly heat affects me which is a total rip off. The guys take off their shirts because of it and Laura and I do to, it’s not like any of the guys haven’t seen a bra before anyway.

“Avery, your wearing a sweater, just take it off, you’re going to over heat and then die.” Laura says.

“You know, I don’t think I want to take it off.” she says but she’s sweating just as much as all of us. “I’ll be fine.”
