The rest of the day felt weird and different. I went to the bathroom and signed the wall, right in the center. All the girls that have ever left the school to either go off the college or just moving away have signed this wall, so it makes sense that I would. I noticed that Laura had signed it too, along with Avery. That's weird, I haven't seen Laura for awhile now, maybe someone should go check up on her?

I told Dan where I was going before I left the school early and made my way to Laura's house. I still remember where it was from the last time I've been here. I knock on the door and peer in as I see Laura's mother smile and invite me in.

"I haven't seen you in forever! How has it been? Laura is up in her room at the moment, you can go and see her if you want." her mother said and I hurried up the stairs. Laura's mother has always scared me a little, she has way to much plastic surgery and makeup on for a forty to fifty year old.

"Laura?" I ask and enter the bedroom. Everything was either pink or purple, except for a blonde Laura, lying in her bed and looking up at me groggily.

"Lavender? What are you doing here?" she asked in a hoarse voice and sits up a little in her bed with great difficulty.

I sit next to her on the bed and look her over. There is huge dark bags under her eyes on top of the fact that they were all bloodshot and a weird yellow color. She didn't have any makeup on and her skin was really hot, I could feel the heat from the other side of her bed like the sun on a hot summer day. "We're all wondering where you've been, I can see now that your really sick, are you alright?" I ask, Mr. C. was telling us the other day that it's pretty rare for someone with powers that uses them to get sick like this.

"I'm fine," she says but doesn't continue as she coughs terribly.

"You don't have to lie. Anyway, Mr. C. has pulled some strings and we can all go to the element school that they've been talking about. We won't have to move or anything since it's only thirty minutes away anyway, but I don't think you'll be going anyway considering." I say and back up toward her door a little more. If she's this sick then it's probably something really bad. I don't mean to be mean, but having two people sick isn't go to help anything.

She rolled her eyes and slowly waved me off, "Go on, you don't have to be around me since I'm sick, tell everyone I'm fine, or don't, it doesn't really matter at the moment." she said and I greatly left the house in a hurry, pretending not to hear Laura's mother's calls for some tea. She would've probably drugged it anyway.

The first day at the school we were all in awe of how huge this place was. Funny, I've never even seen it before, yet here it is, a huge freaking mansion with beautiful gardens and walking areas with students filing into the place at a slow pace. Avery didn't even bother looking at the building and didn't even see how beautiful it was, not that someone like her would care anyway.

"Come on, you guys, we're going to be late." Avery said and we all followed her, since apparently she knew exactly where to go and was kind of like the leader of us today. She opened the office door and stood in front of a plump, orange looking women with green and brown hair that was typing away at the computer, not even paying attention to Avery. Avery made an impatient noise and the lady slowly looked up before her eyes nearly popped out of her scull and her pushed her chair away to get.

"Avery, I didn't know it was you, I wouldn't have-"

"Just save it for another time, Linda, can we just have our schedules." Avery snaps and glares at the flushed girl who gives us all a paper with our schedules on it. Avery sighs, mumbles something about this school never getting anything right, and storms off to her locker. Clearly she hasn't gotten over her issues since the other day. "I heard that." Avery snaps and glares at me. "And don't even start with me." she snaps at Alec, who was just about to say something.
