As night began to fall quicker than I anticipated I quickly made my way up the hill towards the clearing at the very top noticing a really fancy house a few feet away "well, this will have to do for now." I muttered lowly before making my towards it. Once I arrive at the house I walk around the perimeter trying to find an open door before coming to the back door I reach for the handle placing my hand on top of it and pulling it down hearing a click of the door slowly opening it as I make my way inside as quietly as I can without waking anyone up.
Heading towards the living room quietly plopping myself down onto the couch "wow, I could get used to this." I whispered when all of a sudden I hear someone making there way towards me "who the hell are you?" A man angrily asked out loud as he flicked on the light switch making me turn around in fear "uh?" I muttered before running to the door trying to open it but before I could a metal fence came down on the door preventing me from leaving.
"Uh, uh, uh. Sit...little miss." The man said as I turned around quickly plopping myself down onto the sofa looking down at the ground in embarrassment "look, I'm sorry, okay." I mumbled while looking up at him slowly "what's your name kid?" He asked me while looking down at me "Bree. Bree Davis, sir." I mumbled while glancing up at him as I fidgeted with my hands "how'd you get in here, kid?" He asked me with a look of confusion mixed with anger on his face.
"T-the back door was...unlocked." I whispered lowly "goddamn it! I thought I told JARVIS to lock all the doors last night." He mumbled quietly while rubbing his temples in anger "who's Jarvis?" I asked him with a small smirk on my face as I looked up at him "he's an AI I made to watch over things here when I'm busy with press conferences and other things like that." He replied while looking down at me "holy shit, that's awesome." I muttered with excitement laced in my voice "where are your parents kid?" He asked me as he took a seat next to me on the couch "they're dead. They died in an accident when I was 12. I'm all alone. I-I...I don't have anyone else." I whimpered with tears brimming my eyes as I looked up at him.
"You have no one to take care of you? Like no one at all?" He asked me with a hint of concern in his voice as he looked over at me "no. I...I don't." I whined with tears streaming down my face "oh, shit. Uh, w-why don't you stay here for a few days. Just until I can figure out what to do with you." He replied while patting my shoulder gently "are you kidding me? I can't stay here with someone I don't know." I muttered "well, I already know you. So, I guess you should know me. I'm Tony. Tony Stark." He said "I thought I recognized you." I whispered lowly while looking up at him "uh, I guess you'll be staying here for a while." He whispered.
"You're serious Mr. Stark? You'll let me stay here? With you?" I questioned "yeah, of course you can." He said with a small smile on his face "thanks." I whispered with a smile on my face "just don't make a mess around here, okay." He said "I won't. I promise. Thank you very much for letting me stay here Mr. Stark." I said with a smile on my face "you're welcome, kid." He replied as I laid down on the couch closing my eyes gently at the feeling of a blanket being placed onto me "goodnight, Bree." Tony whispered before walking away "night, Mr. Stark." I muttered lowly as I drifted off to sleep with how comfortable I was.
