Finally back at the compound I head into my bedroom to change into something comfy. Once I finish getting dressed I head into the living room plopping down on the couch as I turn on the tv immediately opening up to the news channel as it shows images of what went down today making me turn it off in sadness.

"Hey, sweetie meeting in the press room." Steve said as he walked into my room "with who?" I asked him "the secretary of the state." Steve said as he looked at me nervously "oh, shit." I muttered looking up at him "language." He replied pointing at me "sorry." I said as we made our way to the meeting room. Once in the meeting room we all sit at the table as the secretary begins showing us our quote on quote mistakes we've made as superhero's glancing over to see Wanda with her head down and a look of guilt on her face.
"But I believe we have a solution." Secretary Ross said "and what's that?" I asked him as he placed something down in front of me "the Sokovia Accords." He said looking down at me "what's the Sokovia Accords?" Steve asked him "it's approved by 117 countries. It states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of a United Nations panel only when and if that panel deems it necessary." Secretary Ross said as he circled the table.
"The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place. I feel we've done that." Steve said "tell me, Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right now? If I misplaced a couple of 30 megaton nukes you can bet there'd be consequences. Compromise. Reassurance. That's how the world works. Believe me, this is the middle ground." Secretary Ross said as he pointed to the Accords "what if we come to a decision you don't like?" I asked him as I looked up at him "then you and the rest of the team will retire." He replied before leaving.

Once secretary Ross left all of us headed into the living room/kitchen to sit down talk and think over what secretary Ross just told us as I sat down next to Steve laying my head down on his lap as Ross's words spin around in my head "Tony, your being uncharacteristically non-hyperverbal." Nat said as she turned to look at him "it's because he's already made up his mind." I muttered "boy, you know me so well." My dad mumbled as he looked at me "yes I do. I know you, and I know your faces when you've made up your mind." I sarcastically replied as he rolled his eyes at me.
"There's no decision-making process here. We need to be put in check! Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we can't accept limitations, if we're boundary-less we're no better than the bad guys." Tony said standing in front of us "Tony, if someone dies on your watch, you don't give up." Steve said "who said we're giving up?" My dad questioned him "we are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blame, dad." I said looking up at him "I agree." Steve muttered as he sent a glance my way making me smile at him before getting up and heading out to the deck.
"Bree? You okay?" Steve asked me as he walked up to me standing next to me on the deck as I turned around to face him "no, I'm not okay. I-I...I don't know why my dad is agreeing to this." I said looking up at him "I know, I know it's a lot for someone your age to handle, but you have a choice and I'm not gonna push you to make the wrong one, but-." Steve said as I cut him off mid sentence "I chose your side, uncle Steve." I replied turning to him as he looked at me in slight disbelief "what?" He asked me "I don't agree with my father. He thinks that signing this document will fix everything, but I don't think he's right this time. I chose your side." I said looking up at him.
"Are you sure that that's what you want?" He asked me with a hint of worry in his voice "whatever you do we're doing it together you and me. I'm on your side uncle Steve always." I replied "okay, then we have some work to do." He replied grabbing my hand as we made our way back inside.
