Tony's POV
Making my way into my study with Pepper following closely behind me I quickly shut the door once we're inside as she looks at me in confusion "Tony what the hell is up with you?" Pepper curiously asked me "I wanna talk to you about something." I said looking at her with nervousness in my eyes "okay." She nervously replied "let's adopt Bree." I said while looking up at her "what?" She asked me with a questionable tone in her voice "let's adopt Bree. Ever since I brought her into our house I've felt this sense of protectiveness over her almost as if she were my own daughter, so why not adopt her." I replied looking up at her.
"So, let me get this straight. You found this girl...now you wanna adopt her?" Pepper asked me "yes, P. She makes me feel like I'm needed. She's...my happiness." I whispered while looking up at her "are you sure you wanna do this? I mean with the whole Iron Man thing. You know she'll be a target considering she'll become the daughter of Tony Stark." She asked me with concern laced in her voice "yes. Yes, I'm sure I want this and I'll do whatever I have to do in order to protect her." I said with a smile on my face as she looked up at me "okay." She replied with a nod "yeah." I said while looking up at her.
"Yeah, I'll get the adoption papers and make it official." She replied smiling at me as she giggled "thank you. You won't regret it baby I promise." I said giving her a quick kiss on the lips as she giggled at me "she's practically part of the family already considering the fact she has her own bedroom already." Pepper smiled while wrapping her arms around me "thank you, thank you. I love you so much, Pepper." I muttered while kissing her on the lips repeatedly as she giggled at me.
