Prologue:
Foxy walked into the room. It wasn't where he was expecting to appear after his update finished. But the room was familiar; it was a place that held a lot of terrible memories. The child's spirit sat on the table, playing peacefully with his plush. Foxy couldn't help but notice that the child was noticeably more transparent, so much so that it was alarming.
"You will be replacing me..." the child whispered.
Foxy nodded. This moment was going to happen eventually. "Aye. It seems like that is what is going to happen. I wouldn't say I like it, but it is out of my control."
"I'm too weak to fight it anyways. Too weak to do anything." The child looked at the ground. "I won't truly be gone. Not yet, at least."
Foxy looked confused.
"You will still have my memories and experiences but won't remember me." The child explained.
Foxy tried to fit everything together. But, at the same time, his new update made everything seem fuzzy.
The child began to fade more and more. "I just want to be freed. I want to rest. I want the suffering to stop..."
Foxy felt horrible for the spirit. The spirit had gone through so much throughout the time they were together. Ever since the spirit saved his AI from the fire, he had tried to help the child in any way he could. It wasn't enough. Finally, he put his hand on the child's shoulder. "I will help you. It is the least I can do for you."
The child smiled. "Thank you."
"My memories and experiences are now yours. It is time for me to go dormant. Goodbye, thank you for wanting to help."
The world faded away, a rabbit with red eyes briefly appeared, and Foxy woke up.
