Gregory: His heart was pounding in his chest as he made his way through the dark and narrow tunnels of the sewer system. The only light came from his flashlight and Freddy's upgraded eyes, casting eerie shadows on the walls that seemed to move and writhe. The stench of waste was overwhelming, making it difficult to breathe.

"Freddy, what are we doing here?" Gregory asked, scared and confused. He brushed a moldy slice of pizza off his leg, a reminder of his previous venture, which resulted in the capture of Chica's beak. Freddy didn't respond. Instead, he shoved multiple barrels of what Gregory assumed was toxic waste out of the duo's way, revealing the massive trash cave.

This time, there was no light whatsoever. The hole in the top had been covered by... something. Tentacle-like wires hung from the ceiling, appearing as giant snakes whenever Gregory's flashlight aimed at them. Freddy shoved mounds of trash aside to turn on the generators. When he flipped the first generator on, the ceiling moved, and the wires began twitching.

"Freddy!" Gregory insisted, quickly following the bear to a second generator. "Seriously, what are we doing here? What do you need these things for?"

*Snap* *Hummmmmm* Freddy continued his tasks. "We need power, Gregory." The bear responded, using his see-through vision to find another generator. "For the safety of the Pizzaplex, these generators should power more staff bots. There should be another power source in a room near the cave entrance that you need to crawl through. Go turn it on, and hurry!"

Gregory rolled his eyes and stomped to the entrance. He could barely fit under the mound of trash. Why am I doing this? Gregory held his breath as he shuffled into the enclave with the generator. Why there was a generator in a space smaller than a security office was beyond him. Gregory quickly flipped it on and turned, walking straight into Vanny.

"AGH!" Gregory jumped back, hitting his head on the ceiling.

Vanny giggled and took out her knife. Before Gregory could gather himself, he felt the cold, razor-sharp edge of the blade against his neck. Gregory swallowed nervously, the stark contrast of cold steel making contact with his skin sending a shiver down his spine.

"H̶a̴ha̵h̶a!" Vanny giggled. "O̴h̴, th̷i̷s w̵a̷s̴ w̷a̶y̶ t̴oo̷ e̸a̴s̸y̴!̸" The rabbit kicked Gregory's flashlight out of reach. "W̷o̶w̷, I̵ t̴ho̶ug̶ht y̴o̷u w̵o̷ul̷d giv̸e̴ m̵e̴ m̶ore̵ of̶ a̶ fi̵gh̶t̵. E̸s̵p̴e̵cia̷l̴ly̴ a̴ft̶e̴r la̶s̴t̵ tim̵e!̶"

Gregory looked around, searching for anything to get Freddy's attention.

"O̸h, but I̷ do̴ e̶njo̷y̶ the̵ hun̵t. E̵s̵pe̵ci̵ally̵ s̵e̶e̴i̷ng̵ the̶ hilariou̴s, t̴errified̵ lo̷ok o̴n̷ m̶y p̵r̷ey's̶ fac̷e̶. It's̷ a̵ s̴hame̵ I d̷id̴n̴'t h̷a̶ve̷ ti̷m̶e̷ to̴ t̷oy̴ with̷ y̵o̶u." Vanny continued.

"Come on, Vanessa!" Gregory pleaded, closing his eyes, hoping his friend would hear him. "Snap out of it. This is not you! You are stronger than her!"

For a moment, Vanny's relentless torment seemed to waver. The blade's pressure against Gregory's neck softened, and the ominous red glow in her eyes dimmed slightly. A hint of hope that maybe what he said did something.

But the respite was short-lived. Vanny's laughter echoed again, cruelly dashing Gregory's slight hope.

"I̷t̷'̸s̶ s̸o̸ c̸u̵t̴e̴ o̸f̶ yo̵u̷ t̶o̷ t̶hi̵nk t̴ha̵t'l̵l w̵o̶rk̵!" Vanny taunted, her voice filled with malice. "Do̴n̵'t y̷o̵u k̵no̴w̷ tha̵t̷ she̴'s̷ g̶o̵ne̶?"

"Gregory? Gregory? Gregory!" Vanessa's voice suddenly replaced Vanny's, filled with desperation and terror. "Help! Please! I-I can't go much further! The fire... can you turn it off from over there? Gregory?! Gregory! What are you doing?! Please don't leave me here! P̷lea̷s̵e̶!" Vanessa's frantic pleas pierced Gregory's heart along with a wave of regret.

Vanny's sadistic taunting continued, "Oh̷ yes̴!" her laughter grew louder, more unhinged. "Y̶ou re̷me̴m̴be̶r he̶r pl̵ea̵d̷in̶g̵ fo̷r̴ help̷, d̴o̷n't y̶ou̷? R̴ight b̴ef̶or̴e̴ y̷ou̵ l̵eft he̶r̵ to̷ bur̴n!"

"Why are you doing this? If you are going to kill me, just kill me!" Gregory yelled.

Vanny giggled. "I̴'m̴ r̵e̶m̷ind̴ing̵ yo̵u o̴f y̵our̵ mi̷s̷ta̴k̶e̶s. Y̶ou̴ ne̶v̷er s̶h̷ould̴ h̵a̶v̴e co̴me̵ b̴ac̷k̵! "That doesn't seem like a fair trade." Gregory spat. Vanny's consistent laughing, while terrifying, was starting to get on his nerves.

Vanny pressed the blade into Gregory's neck, causing a bolt of pain. "Y̷o̵u a̵re̵n̷'t̶ in ̵a̴ny̶ p̵o̶s̶ition̶ to̷ ne̵g̶otia̴t̷e̵, rig̷ht?" Vanny growled. Gregory inhaled sharply before slowly nodding. "G̵oo̶d̸." the rabbit's demeanor changed. "I̵ a̴m̷ ha̵v̷i̵ng̵ t̷ro̷uble̵ obt̵a̵inin̴g s̷om̵e e̷ss̵e̴n̷tial m̴a̴te̷r̷ia̵ls̶ f̵or a̸ de̴a̷r fr̷i̴e̴nd. "Absolutely not!" Gregory snapped. He didn't care about Vanny's threats; he wouldn't do anything for her. "You are a sick coward! Let me go before Freddy finds us and tears you apart!"

"H̶a̶h̷ahah̶a̴ha̵!" Vanny laughed. Gregory couldn't believe his ears. She thinks this is some kind of joke! "H̶o̵w cr̵uel! I c̵an't b̶elie̶v̴e y̵ou w̶ould p̴ut F̶re̶ddy in ha̶rm̷'s̶ w̴ay lik̴e tha̶t! Gregory's eyes widened in dismay. There was no getting out of this. Vanny held all the strings and was willing to destroy the most meaningful thing in his life. But the others haven't done anything wrong... No missing children, no glitches, and heck, they even fought back against Vanny. Foxy even treated me like a friend earlier...

But Freddy... Sure, he has been acting weird lately, but he's the closest thing I have to a family... Why does that ring a bell?

"T̴i̶ck̴ To̶c̴k.̴.."

"Alright, Fine! Just let me go!" Gregory gave in. "I'll do your stupid favor!"

The rabbit chuckled. "G̶o̵od b̴oy̵! I̶f y̵o̴u b̴rin̵g m̴e̶ F̶o̵xy̶'s̶ s̴ha̶t̵te̶r̷ed̷ e̴nd̶o̴s̶kele̷to̷n w̶it̵hin t̶he̶ ne̶xt̷ t̶hre̴e d̴a̴ys̶, I̵'l̵l s̶pa̶re̷ yo̷u a̶nd̶ F̴re̴d̴dy̵." Vanny released Gregory's neck, leaving him feeling relieved. "Bu̶t̷ d̴o̷n't̷ d̷are try̶ an̵d t̶ri̶ck me̷. D̴o̶ s̶o, a̴nd̴ y̴o̷u'll be̷ w̷is̵hi̵ng̷ f̴or a̴ q̵uic̵k̵ d̴e̶a̴t̴h. ...

"What took you so long, superstar?" a concerned Freddy asked as Gregory climbed back into the cavern.

"Um, nothing." Gregory couldn't look at the bear's face. He didn't want Freddy to see the intense regret in his eyes.

Freddy nodded and began walking back into the sewer system. "Come on, superstar. There is still more work to be done."
