Foxy: The Pizzaplex was even better at night! Foxy observed the dining and stage area. The emptiness felt familiar, comforting almost. It reminded him of his previous life. Foxy shook his head, trying to ignore the memory of his past. "I am a Glamrock now. No reason to dwell on anything, Foxy. You have actual friends now. They like you! Even Monty seems friendly! It feels so good to have friends."
"BO!"
"AAAH!" Foxy yelped. He jumped and ran forward, hitting a wall in the process. "Ow!"
Roxy giggled and booped Foxy's nose. "I got you good, didn't I?"
"I guess, Roxy," He replied, fixing his hair. "You got me. Being deep in my thoughts just made it easier for you."
"Seems like it. At least that head of yours isn't entirely empty."
"What do you mean by that? Just because I didn't talk during rehearsal doesn't mean-"
"It's a joke Foxy." Roxy rolled her eyes. Her tail swayed from side to side as she looked at her claws. "So, how would you say your first day with us went?"
Is she interrogating me? Or is this just a friendly chat? Is she trying to be intimidating, or am I just overly nervous? ARGH! Stop questioning everything, Foxy!
"Uh, yeah. It went well. There is still plenty for me to learn, but that's why I have y'all?" He replied nervously. "Y'all are great! Uh, Monty is cool, I guess. Freddy is mysterious. We didn't see him too much." Why did she react to that? "You are incredible. You are feisty sometimes, but you seem friendly, and I would consider you a friend."
Roxy's eyes seemed to light up, and her tail wagged faster. Maybe she likes compliments? I'll keep that in mind. Where was I? "Uh, Chica! Yeah, Chica is great! Very caring and energetic. I hope I can become her friend one day. She reminds me of another Chica that I used to know."
Roxy rolled her eyes. "You probably will become friends. She is affable. Just be warned that she isn't some sweet, innocent chicken. She will try to take advantage of you if it means more food. Trust me, Chica shouldn't be blindly trusted. And Freddy, wait to get me started with him. He abandoned and destroyed us for a random child! He will seem loyal, but his true loyalties don't lie with us."
Why is she telling me this? Should I be concerned? "I will... keep that in mind." Foxy nodded slowly. He tried to think. There is so much to take in. It is all so new. Then, shaking his head, Foxy looked at the ground. There may be better places to be. But this might be your only shot at friendship.
"Enough talking about the others. I didn't get to show you the best place here!" Roxy grabbed Foxy's hook excitedly. "Off to Roxy Raceway!"
...
"Woah, this place is massive!" Foxy exclaimed, peering over the platform the two were standing on. What he saw amazed him. A massive, illuminated track with all kinds of twists and turns. There was even a golden statue of Roxy overlooking the place. She looked cute in her racers outfit. "You are right; this area is fantastic!"
Roxy's tail was going wild. "Just like me, it is the best!"
"I couldn't agree more." He was still in awe. "You really have it set here, Roxy. I bet you love racing?"
"Absolutely," Roxy smiled smugly. "It is the best feeling ever. Especially winning. Nobody likes a loser, and I never lose!"
"Woah. I could be good at racing too. Pirate ships couldn't be too different from a racecar. I bet I can beat you in a race.
"I doubt you're better than me. I'm the best! You are noth-." Roxy stopped herself. Her eyes got wide, and she covered her snout. "Never mind. How about we go grab a bite to eat! There is still so much I want to show you!"
Before they could leave, Foxy asked why there was construction in the area. Roxy appeared annoyed at the question. "It's because of that stupid sinkhole. Constantly causing issues and requiring maintenance." She growled and flicked her tail. "It ruins my vibe!"
Foxy remembered the sinkhole. That was where Roxy found him. Something about it felt sinister. A dark presence resides within the cavern. He tried to remember back to the fire. Who was with him when everything burned down? Of course, everyone was, but they had all moved on, right? Foxy shook it off. Hopefully, whatever is down there, remains buried.
"You awake, captain?" Roxy asked. She waved her hand over Foxy's face. "Come on! Lets's go to the food court! I can have you try my favorite food combo!"
It's time to try and make a new life for yourself. You have hoped something like this might happen, and it is! So don't waste this, Foxy. He glanced back at the sinkhole. For decades he had been there, hoping for a new beginning. I finally have it. A feeling of happiness swept throughout his body, and his mind cleared. Finally able to think straight, Foxy smiled. Thank you, Roxy, for giving me a second chance. I owe you everything and will do anything to return the favor.
"You coming or what?" Roxy called near the exit of the raceway. She was leaning against the wall waiting for him. Foxy nodded and began running towards her. "I bet I can beat you to the food court!"
............
Gregory: "Please, you're not faster than me!" Gregory heard Roxy say to someone. He assumes it is the new animatronic, Foxy. There is something mysterious about Foxy. Gregory thought. Foxy's movement was unlike others; he seemed more expressive and alive. And had a cautious manner about him. Foxy almost always kept his distance from people, especially adults. Gregory had been observing the animatronics the entire day. Keeping an eye on their behaviors and interactions. He climbed out of the box he was hiding in and began to take in his surroundings.
Unlike many other attractions, the raceway had primarily stayed the same as its previous version. Keeping the Western theme but with new coastal-style artwork. It could be tied to the latest version of Kids Cove. Actually, it was called Pirates Bay now. Gregory looked at his Fazwatch, realizing it wasn't hooked to the new security systems. Hopefully, Freddy will get that fixed. He made his way to the edge of the sinkhole. It was almost completely filled in now, albeit a small cavern with holes in the wall. Gregory jumped into the cavern. First, he had to make sure the pizzeria was sealed. Nothing should be coming from there ever again.
Gregory examined every possible point where the pizzeria might be exposed. He even threw rocks at supposed weak spots for good measure. The cavern was a little small, only about the size of Freddy's room. This made it easy for Gregory, who didn't want to be down there too long.
Once done, he used the dislodged rocks to climb back up. Freddy was still nowhere to be seen. Why isn't he here? I told him that we needed to talk! But Freddy never showed up. Annoyed, Gregory took a seat on a bleacher. Initially, he had planned on destroying the animatronics. Just as he had done in the past. But Freddy seemed to be firmly against that idea. Maybe he knows something I don't. Freddy did come back a day before I did. So far, no one has been hostile. There were no weird glitches and no sign of Vanny. This place may be safe. I am still going to keep an eye on everyone, though. If anyone gets hurt, I'll take matters into my own hands, regardless of what Freddy says.
