How about we all head out and grab something to eat. We can talk more about working out a schedule so that someone is with Scarlett until she shift for the first time Caleb suggested. That sounds like a good idea. I'll send a text to Jennifer and have her save us a table.

Well here is your doctor's appointment for next Monday at 9a.m Dr. Jordan said handing the card over to me, and you can come back in if need.

Yeah, I totally let out a growl at that! Now everybody was looking at me. I said food sounds good, I'm hungry! Don't think anybody bought that, but hey; A girl's got to try right.

Scarlett can you shift Caleb asked me?
I'm hungry, is the only response I gave as I try to make my way around him but he just ended up wrapping his arms around me and saying, people who have not shifted before can not growl!

I know that wasn't your stomach growling because you are hungry. He then growled back at me. I started to giggle and then laugh and had a smile on my face. Well I think you just got  your answered to your own question, I said to him. Now can we go get some food because I'm really hungry.

This conversation is not over he said as he picked me up off my feet and he turned around to doctor Jordan and said we will see you on Monday. He carried me out to his Jeep and put me down in the passenger side. He told Mark and Dean that he will meet us at the pizza parlor.

Scarlett honey, why haven't you let anybody know that you can shift?

I just didn't want people to find out. If my mother knew that I was a shifter, do you think she would accept me then.

Okay I see where this is going. But why didn't you say anything at the doctor's office when you were opening up to us? 

I just shrugged my shoulders turned my head an started to look out the window as we were going down the valley and into town.

I rolled the window down and asked him to slow down a little bit as I stuck my head out the window and looked up on the hill. The house that I like so much looks like it was coming up for rent. I don't know why but I really did like that place.

He ended up pulling over a little bit and stopping the Jeep and looked up to see what I was looking at I pulled my head back in and was looking at him. What is it honey, do you know somebody that lives there? No, I think it's just a rental house. Why are you looking at rental houses?

I didn't answer and I just rolled the window back up and turned around to face him. You shouldn't be sitting on the side of the road, we should probably get going so we can meet them there at the pizza parlor I said.

But of course he didn't move, he just looked right at me. Scarlett we're going to have to do some work on your lack of communication skills. You really do like avoiding answering questions don't you or changing the subjects.

Do you like that house Scarlett? I like your Jeep I responded. Scarlet why are you looking at rental houses? Could you teach me to drive? If I answer your question will you answer mine? Yes, I will answer one of yours questions.

There's nothing wrong with looking at houses. Yes, I can teach you to drive. Why are you looking at rental houses? Well I don't know that it's a rental house, but I'm seen some plastic chairs and a table on the porch an now they're gone. There were also some flower pots setting up there and they're gone too.

That seemed to satisfy him as he ended up going back on the road and we were heading into town. So what kind of shifter are you he asked? The same kind as you I responded. So you are a grizzly bear shifter? Look there's a parking spot I said pointing it out.

You didn't answer my questions Scarlett. Yes I did I stated back. Before he can ask another question I hopped out and started to go into the pizza parlor. It wasn't too long before he caught up. Mark, Jennifer, Dean and Mom was sitting in a big booth. It could set six people easy. I sat beside Mark and Caleb said across from me and beside mom.

We had just sat down an in a few seconds a waitress came and brought out three different types of pizza. She took my and Caleb drink order. We all ended up getting food that we wanted and started to eat, when Jennifer said she had some news to share with every one. I'm pregnant, she announced I'm 1 week today and my due date is August 21st. We all told them congratulations.

I called and told Bill our hockey coach that Jennifer will be out for the rest of this seasons year. So he is going to have a tryout on Thursday at 4:00p.m after school, because they need to fill in for Jennifer. They'll need a fill in for Friday December 3rd game too. One of the team players has fractured his wrist.

I'm going to work a half day Thursday I thought that you might be interested in trying out for our team Scarlett.

You said today that you have been practicing skating and we can work with you on playing hockey, if you are interested in doing that. I figure it can be something that we do together as brother and sister.

I would like that, I could leave school around lunch time and come over to pick up some hockey gear at the store.

You can meet me at work after school so you don't fall behind on your school work. You don't have to worry about that, I'll come over around lunch I said.

How are you doing in school Caleb and Mark asked at the same time. Good I'm at 8'2a this week. What dose that mean mom and Mark ask looking confused.

WOW that is really good, I need to tell my mom that. Maybe you could help out my cousin. He should be in the same grade as you are. His only at
5'1b that means 5 dash is December. the month week 1 and b is basic classes.

8'2a that means 8 dash is March
the month week 2 and a is advanced classes. Yes, that's right but I'm not in 9th grade. I'm in 10th, I got to skip 5th grade.
