I was so glad today was Friday and we were getting ready to head up to the rental house my mates hiccup for me for my birthday. I thought I would hear back from the New York City publishing yesterday but I never received a call so I thought I didn't get it. Right as me and Sarah was getting ready to get in her car and head up to my house my phone rung I looked down and seen that it was from New York City I told Sarah to be real quiet that I needed to take this call it was really important so we got in the vehicle and I answered the call.
After I had hung up the cell from them, I squealing in assignment. I was so very happy. I'll explain everything to Sarah and she was amazed and excited for me as well. I told Sarah not to say anything to anyone I was going to announce it to everyone on Saturday when we had my birthday party. Of course I will and congratulations my bestie she said to me.
Of course we were both smiling from ear to ear and very excited. By time we got to my house the guys said, you both seem awful happy and I told them we are. I'm looking forward to this birth day, not only because I'm going to be 16 but I had good news to share.
I won't be able to tell you both until tomorrow because I wanted to tell everyone at the same time. Course they try their best to get it out of me. I said goodbye to Sarah and that I see her tomorrow because that's when her and her dad would be able to make it.
This is a picture of the rental cabin they got. It was in sumas next to the Canada border. It took us an hour and 20 minutes from our house to get here and we lived about 5 minutes from the town of Kendall.
We having to stop in the town of sumas to pick up a bunch of groceries. They had rented this cabin for 3 days. We ended up coming on Friday so we could get all the groceries packed up there and put away before everyone showed up tomorrow for my birthday party.
We decided to have hamburgers. Every body was going to bring a small cover dish of food with them. My parents were getting the birthday cake. Other people are bringing things like potato salad, green bean casserole, lettuce, tomato, onion dish, macaroni salad and brownies.
All we had to get was the hamburger buns, hamburger meat, seasoning, pop, lemonade, tea. We also had to go over to the store and pick up plastic cups, plates, napkins, Fork, spoons, Banner tablecloths, trash bags.
By the time we got everything all loaded up in Ben's SUV. We all three were hungry. It's a good thing that we ended up calling and ordering pizza for tonight, all we had to do now was to go over and pick it up then head to the cabin and unload everything.
This is a picture of Ben's SUV.
It's a good thing that Ben had an SUV because Caleb's jeep was only a two seater and the truck that I bought for Caleb for Christmas was too big even though it was a five seater.
I got my driver's license in the mail today. I told my mates that now I had my driver's license I could drive myself back and forth to school or come over and see them whenever I wanted to, with out having someone to drive me around.
I told them that I ordered a Jeep and it was supposed to be delivered Monday around noon at our house. I was taking Monday off school because the vehicle was supposed to be here Monday and I had to sign for it.
Caleb would be at work Monday at the fire department. He got Saturdays and Sundays off. He worked half days every Tuesday and Thursday. Unless he was needed for an emergency. He work 9:00 to 2:00 M'W'F then work 12:00 to 4:00 Tuesday and Thursday.
Ben started working with the First Responders at the fire department because our town didn't have a Ambulance Service. He was a first responder in the National Guards.
He went in for an interview right after Christmas and got the job. Caleb and I were very proud of him. When he told us we congratulated him then we went out to eat that night to celebrate.
Ben work M'T'T'F from 8:30 to 2:30 an was on cell W'S'S if needed. A first responder did a lot more than what I thought they would do. If there was a vehicle crash they would be the paramedics on site before getting them to a hospital. They also was at a far scene if a far had happened taking care of burn victims or being there to help with smoke inhalations to any of the firefighters. They were even there for the police officers if they had got hurt on a scene or hang out wounded then the First Responders would respond to them before going to the hospital.
Our fire department here in Kendall did more than put out fars if they responded to a car crash they would help the First Responders and getting the victims cleared they would also help clean up the wreckage. They also got called out a lot in the winter time for people getting stranded on the roads or sliding off the roads into the dishes because of the ice. So in some ways they were like the tow truck drivers along with being firefighters.
This town also had two small clinics up in the valley and one big hospital in town. The town of everson was quite like ours it was a smaller for the town size, but was pretty large with the way the land was laid out. They had lot of houses.
They also didn't have a ambulance service or a tow truck service just like us. The town of sumas was about the same as everson town but they had an ambulance service their Ambulance Service also worked with the town of Everson. They were about 35 minutes from each other. We was 45 minutes from sumas and have a mountain valley in between their town and ours.
From our town in Kendall to dewey was a hour and 10 minutes. From Everson to Kendall was 50 minutes.
