This story is about a little girl, who gets adopted by her grandmother as a baby. Then returned to her mother as a child.
Scarlett and her family has to move back to Washington, her mother's home place.

As I walk out of the surgery room I really wished there was a different outcome. Scrubbing out and going to my office I'll pick up my phone and called my wife Emma Braxton.
Honey I know it's early in the morning but I need you to get up and come to the hospital ER waiting room I will be waiting for you there I have some bad news I got to deliver to the guys. They're going to need all the support they can get I'll fill you in on more when you get here. I'm going to hang up now and call Jack and Beth to come also for Ben. Honey you are scaring me what has happened is it Scarlett? I'm on my way now out the door. I'll explain everything when you get here. I need to call Jack and Beth and be safe getting here. Okay honey I'll see you in a few seconds bye.
Taking a break breath and inhaling it I picked up the phone again and called Jack. After a few rings he answered. Jack I need you and Beth to get to the hospital, there was an incident with Scarlett and it's not good. You don't need to be here for Benjamin he's going to need your support. I will be waiting for you in the ER waiting room.
All right Gabe, we are on our way. we will be there in a few minutes. How bad is it? It's pretty bad Jack I'll explain everything once we're all together.
I walked out of my office and into the waiting area of the ER. I know the guys were still waiting to hear something and there still in the OR waiting room.
It was about 10 minutes until everyone showed up in the ER waiting room. I told them to come on back with me. The guys were in the OR waiting room. This was going to be a shock for everyone. With that being said, we started to head back to the waiting room.
I walked into the room and the others following me in. they took a seat while I shut the door and sat down in a chair besides the door.
Before anybody started to ask what happened I jumped right into it. There was no easy way to say this but to get it out there.
Benjamin, Caleb when you guys brought Scarlett in, she had already previously lost a lot of blood. The staff could tell that she was hemorrhaging she was very pale and cold, she passed out before surgery started.
We got her prep for surgery and started to look for the problem, we discovered that Scarlett was pregnant. We had to remove the baby girl and sent her to the NICU. Where they had run test to see exactly how old she is and the state of her health.
Caleb, Benjamin I am so sorry, Scarlett didn't make it through surgery. Her ovaries on the right side ruptured and she had severe bleeding in the stomach.
There was a knock on the door, then it was slightly open. Hi.. I'm Nurse Annie sorry to interrupt at this time but here is the information about the little girl she said handing Gabe the paper. If you need anything you can find me at the NICU nurse station, she said and walked back out the door.
I opened the paper and read it out loud then I handed it over to Caleb.
The Baby girl is at the start of 29 weeks old and is 14.8 inches long and weighs 3.2 pounds. She in the nicu with nurse Nicole. She is a premature baby so she will be here a wall, her room number is B-17 on the 3 floor to the right from the nurses station.
It was sometime later before we all left the waiting room. We all went up to the nicu to see the little one. It was hard to know that she was premature, but the biggest surprise was not knowing that her mommy was pregnant with her.
As we walk into the room it really hit everyone even more harder seeing her with all the tubes and plugs in and on her.
