¤Megan's POV¤

It's been a few day's and Carol is already awake. She said that my dad and she found this kid with a hurt leg, Noah. So that means dad and maybe even the rest of the group knows where we are and is planning to come and get us. I sit there now, in Carols room, playing cards with her. "Got any eights?" Carol teases. "It's poker. Not go fish." I laugh. This is the first time in a while I have actually laughed. "I know. But we gotta switch it up. Maybe throw in a little slap jack?" she smiles. I just chuckle and shake my head. "You make no since." "I try." "sure." we stop and look at eachother before launching again. Someone knocks on the door and I look up to see Beth. She's dressed in normal clothes and has mine in her hand. "What's going on?" I ask. "They came to get us. We are going back to the group." Her words hit me like a train. I don't want to go back. All I do.is get people hurt or killed. "I don't want to go back. I'm a danger to the group." I say, tears pricking the baxk of my eyes. "No you're not. Now get up and get dressed." Carol commanded. I glare at her before sighing and getting my clothes from Beth. "I'll be back." I huff and walk down the hall to Beth's old room. I quickly dress and grab my hidden gun before walking out of the room. "Their almost here." Beth pulls me into Carols room. We help her into a wheel chair and roll her out. All the cops there are lined up, pointing there guns. I'm too short to see over them, so I go to the side. I see the group, but they don't see me.... Yet. "One of yours for one of ours." Rick speaks. Beth wheels Carol over before Dawn pulls her back. "Next one." then Beth walks over. They start to leave when Beth turns around and stops. "Wait. Guys. Theres someone else that needs to come with us." Beth says, and I silently curss her. Everyone stops and turns to Beth. "Who they got that's worth getin'?" my dad rasps. It's then that I step out of the crowd and to the front. "Meghan?" my dad whispers. "Hello daddy." I look away from him and into Beths eyes, unable to look at my father's hurting eyes. "We need her too." Rick smiles lightly. "Give us Noah, and you have a deal." Dawn says. "Dawn!" I whisper/yell. "What Meghan?" she looks down at me with a look I can't read. She looks almost pained that I'm going. "Just let us go. Please." I ask her. She shakes her head no and nods her head to Noah. "No. He left here for a reason. I'm not making him come back." I protest. "It's fine." Noah smiles an assuring smile. We meet in the middle and I give him a hug, with Beth doing the same. "You sure?" I look into his eyes. They scream no but his head nods yes. As he starts to walk over there, Beth speaks up again. "Wait," she walks over to Dawn, "I get it now." she says and I see the flash of silver in Beths sleeve. "NO!" I scream. But it's too late. Beths lifeless body falles to the group as I fall to my knees. I hear another gunshot and I see Dawn's lifeless eyes now stairing into mine. I cradled Beths blood soaked head in my arms and sob. I hear more guns being cocked. "No. T..this is over!" Ricks voice cracks. Out of the corner of my eye I can see him walking to me. He slides his arms under mine and tries to pull me up. I scream and thrash in his hold until my back is to his. By now he's crying amongst the others. I bend over crying, still in Ricks grip. I know why he's not letting go. He knows that if he did, I would fall and never get back up. My dad picks Beth up as we walk out of the hospital. When we reach the outside, Rick is still holding me to his side, but he's not crying like me anymore. I see a fire truck pull up and out comes Maggie, Gleen, Carl, Abraham, and Rosita. Maggie smiles but it quickly fades when she sees Beths lifeless body. She falls to her knees crying. I stand and wrap around Rick tighter. I can Feel Carls eyes burning holes into the side of my face, but I can't look at him. I don't want to see all the pain etched on to his face.
