¤Megan's POV¤

It's been three weeks. Three weeks of on the road. Three weeks of crying. At night I wake up screaming, sweat alway dripping down my face. I don't really talk anymore, only the occasion 'yes', 'no', or head nod when someone asks me a question. Carl tried to comfort me, but I just shyed away from him. If I had of just stepped out at the beginning, Beth would still be here. Walking down this back road, searching for food, water, shelter. But no. She's dead and it's all my fault. I did this. I reach down and grab my gun, cocking it. Slowly, I pull it out of it's holster and put it to my head. Tears slip out of my eyes as I stop. I'm in the back, so no one notices when I sneak into the woods, gun still to my head. I get far enough from them the where I can stll see them, but they can't see me. I put my finger on trigger and slowly start to pull. I hear a snap and grow coming from behind me. I sight and turn, shooting the walker in the head. Shit! Bad idea. Now they are going to come lookimg for me. I can still see them as they look around. My eyes land on Carl as he's scanning the group for me. I see the panic set in as he runs around the group, yelling for me. My dad looks right at me, and I freeze. I soon notice that he's not actually looking at me. He's looking up at the top of the tree I'm under. Rick pulls out his gun and runs into the woods, coming to me. I quickly climb up the tree and hide among the branches. "Megan. Come on. You can't keep doing this." he says looking around before finally looking up at me. A sight escapes my cracked lips as I hop down. Carl runs over and looks at me with big eyes. "You scared the shit out of me!" he yells at me. "What were you thinking?!" he baggerd. "I thought, maybe if I end my life, this group would finally have some good luck and people wouldn't keep dying." this is the first time I talked in three weeks. My voice is horse and my throat hurts. Carl looks at me, astonished. Maybe because I'm actually talking or it's because he's the one I'm talking to. We set out again, no one talking about what just happened. My dad won't look me in the eye anymore so what's the point right? As we walked down the road, there were jugs and bottles of water sitting in the middle, waiting for us to drink it all up. "Would ya' looky here." Abraham says looking over at me. I don't look at him and walk to Rick who's holding a note. "What does it say?" Carl asks. "From a friend." I read the note to him. "Look at you Meghan. Talking." Michoone smiles at me. Carl glairs at her. "What?" she asks. "It's okay Carl. She wasn't taunting me or anything." I sigh before continuing, "Listen. I've been kinda a bitch... And I just wanted to say sorry." I turn to my dad. He doesn't look at me, he just looks down at his shoes. "Thank you." Carol says. "For what?" I ask. "For proving to us that you're still here." she smiles at me. I hear a snort and my dad speaks up, "I'm gonna go out. Find some shelter." he stomps past me. I roll mu eyes and walk over to Carl. We look t eachother for a moment, then he pulls me into a tight hug. "Gosh. I've missed you." he puts his head in the crook of my neck and kisses my collarbone. We hear a few laughs a whistles behind us as I kiss him on the lips. Carl gives them a thumbs up and smirks at me. Eugene, the fake scientists bends down, grabbing a thing of water. "What are you-" I stop and smack the water out of his hands. "No one else is dyin'." I sternly enforce. Eugene and I have a stair down before he backs away. All of a sudden it starts to rain. Dad comes back at the same time. Tara and Rosita lay down in the road, laughing. I look over at Carl holding Judith and smile. "Rick." I smile again, walking over to him. I grab his hands and being to dance. He just stands there laughing. "Come on Rick. Dance!" Michoone coos. I laugh out right as Rick actually starts to dance. This is the most fun weve had in so long I can barely remember.
