At the end of 1970, the Dunne Brothers had played a show at the Pint in Baltimore where Rick Marks, lead singer for the Winters was in attendance. Impressed with their raw sound and taking a liking to Billy, he offered them an opening spot on their 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸.
The Dunne Brothers joined the Winters and quickly became influenced by the Winter's sound and intrigued with their keyboardist, Karen Karen.

Eddie: I knew Camila from the neighbourhood. We used to walk to Sunday school together when we were kids. You couldn't help but fall in love with her, even then... And then she met Billy.
Sunny: I didn't realize how much I missed having girl friends until Camila started coming around. She would always be carrying around her two cameras, filming us as we practiced.
I had started school at the University of Pittsburgh at that point, and honestly I was loving what I was doing. My freshman year I did great, I was learning about anatomy, going to labs, and kept straight As throughout it all. Everyone has their own way of learning, and some people just couldn't learn in school settings, but I thrived in a school setting. However, everyday when I was at school and living in the dorms, I was alone. Sure I had my roommate and a few school friends, but that's all they ever were, just my roommate and just school friends.
I missed my family. I missed mom and dad, I missed Billy and Graham, hell I even missed Eddie and Warren! Sure, they'd send me letters or call when I had the chance, but it wasn't the same. I was miserable. Every day in the back of my head all I could think about was going home for the weekend and practicing with the band. It's all I ever looked forward to.
Warren: For the next year it felt like all we did was practice... we had a lot of good days back then.
Sunny: Summer had rolled around again, and I had finally moved out of my dorm and back into my parent's house for the summer. The night I had came back home I went straight to my room, I couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed again. But when I stepped into my room, I was surprised to see Graham sitting on my bed with tacos from my favourite food truck and a sign that read, 'Welcome home sunshine'
Graham: [Smiles] What can I say, I'm a gentleman.
Sunny: He saw me every other weekend and called me every night he could while I was at school. The University was only a few hours away from home, but it felt like I was so far from him.
