Graham: Sunny liked to explore, it was one of the things I lov - liked about her. We used to go on these walks around L.A and find these cool spots that we liked to keep to ourselves, somewhere the rest of the guys wouldn't ruin for the two of us. There were parks, cafes, and a few quiet bars here and there. It was something for just us... just Sunny and I.

Sunny: When Karen joined the band, suddenly it was it wasn't just Graham and I anymore. The parks, cafes, and bars Graham and I had found, suddenly turned into the parks, cafes, and bars Graham and Karen found. They were becoming friends, and who was I to stop them. I was glad that Graham was branching out and making friends, especially with Karen because she was my friend as well. But at some point I found myself alone, walking around L.A with just my own company to try and give Graham and Karen some time to get to know each other.

If I'm being quite honest, yeah it hurt to see them get closer. But Graham and I weren't dating, and if he did feel that way about me we would have been dating by then. We've known each other for years and he never once made a move, so neither would I.

Graham owed me nothing, no explanation about how he felt for Karen and at the same time I didn't want it. They say ignorance is bliss, and I was swimming in it. I tried to get out of the house as much as possible, just so I wouldn't see them laughing and making their own inside jokes or anything like that. I just couldn't watch my two friends fall in love.

So yeah, I went on walks alone. On those walks I'd find a nice spot to sit and write some new songs or literally just anything that came to mind into my little journal. One day I ended up at Dukes, a diner the band and I visited a lot. I think this was around four in the morning, I couldn't sleep that night for some reason so I ended up at the diner. It was practically empty, I think I might have been one of their first customers that morning. I took a seat in a corner booth and pulled out my note book to write a new song.

As I did so, the waiter came to my table and took my order. When she came back, she set my coffee in front of me alongside my waffles, before taking the seat across from me with her own stack of waffles. I was slightly shocked that the waitress decided to have her morning breakfast with me despite actually being on work hours. She acted as if it weren't a problem, even though her manager was practically glaring holes into the back of her head. But this waitress was so care free she just kept eating her waffles.

I didn't mind the company, it had been a while since I had sat down and had a civil meal with someone. She asked me what I was writing down in my notebook, and I told her that I was writing a song. Her smile was so bright when I told her.
