Bad News

I woke up with a blinding head ache, I looked around but no one was around, I walked outside and still no one, I kept walking along the beach hoping to find someone, anyone

I finally found some elder Metkayinas sitting at the edge of the pier watching out over the water with what seemed to be nervousness

"What's happening....where is everyone?" They all looked up with frantic looks

"The sky people came, your children and the sullys got caught in the trouble, they called for help so everyone that was able to go and fight, went and now we are just waiting for any sign"

Oh no no no, this can't be happening, everything was going amazing and my babies were out there, my Tonowari was putting his life on the line, I had to go I can't sit by and let my family fight without trying to protect them

I walked into the water calling for my Ilu, quickly getting on and swimming out to sea hoping to see someone, anyone

I still didn't feel good but I couldn't care about that right now when my family was in danger

After quickly gliding through the water I saw a fight out by three brothers rock

As I got closer I looked up at the ship and saw my Tsireya tied up

I climbed up the side as best I could with my belly in the way, I saw tsireya Tuk and Lo'ak being cut free by Neteyam

I ran up to them all and hugged them close

"Come children we need to go"

"We can't leave spider" Lo'ak pleaded

"He will be fine if they were going to hurt him he'd be hurt by now, now come" I said pushing them to the edge of the ship, tsireya and Tuk jumped off but loak was still hesitant

"Lo'ak now!" I yelled

He sighed but finally he and Neteyam jumped off landing in the water next to a waiting tsireya and Tuk

I went to climb down since jumping probably wasn't the best idea when pregnant

As I bend down to climb a blinding went through my shoulder, it felt like time stopped, I lost my grip and fell, feeling the water smack against my back

I felt stunned I felt myself sinking in a cloud of red, gently I felt hands on my bringing me to the surface

"Mom, momma can you hear me?" I looked to me side and it was tsireya she looked so scared

I felt so weak, I knew I was losing blood fast

"Bring me to.......to your father" I sighed out

They all helped push me up onto my Ilu as Tsireya sat infront of me guiding the Ilu for me

"Are you okay baby?" I asked wondering if she had gotten hurt on the ship

"Mom you got shot don't worry about me" I felt a bit more comforted knowing she was alright

"Dad!! Mommas hurt" she yelled but it was all fuzzy in my ears as I was getting light headed

Those big strong arms I love picked me up gently and laid me across his lap

"Oh my angel, look at me" his voice helped me focus a bit as I looked up and saw complete fear in his expression, I looked around and saw Ao'nung and Tsireya sitting next to us

I felt Ao'nung brushing my hair back and tsireya holding my hand

"Tono im sorry" I cried weakly, scared I was fading

"No no you didn't do anything wrong, you're going to be fine, you have to be, be strong for the babies" he cried as he rubbed my belly

I almost forgot.....the babies

"Dad we have to get her back and get her healed she lost a lot of blood in the water when she fell"

Without another word spoke I was lifted and I felt the air fly past me, meaning I was on Tonowari's Skimwing

"I'm scared" I whispered out

"You're going to be fine my love, you promised you wouldn't leave me, you can't leave us" he said as he held me tight, I could hear the quiver in his voice

I was fighting so hard to not let the darkness envelop me, I had to for the babies, for my amazing children, for my soulmate

"Just hold on my child" it wasn't Tonowari speaking to me

I heard it in my head, I felt warmer, it felt like Eywa I was like the time she spoke to me about showing me a sign

"Tonowari...." I whined scared that if I could hear Eywa I was slipping away

"Shhhh baby just breathe"

"If something happens.....promise..promise you'll save the babies"

"Nothings going to happen" he said panicked

"Promise me"

He paused for a long time before he spoke again

"I promise"

I felt him pick me up meaning we were home, he ran across the beach holding me close, I'm glad that if this was my last moment he was the one holding me

"MOTHER!" he yelled

"Mother please help her, she's been shot" he said as he laid me down in his parents pod

"Oh Eywa" I heard her say

I felt her clean my wound, quick to extract the bullet, I was too weak to scream in pain even though it was excruciating

"Will she be okay grandma?" Ao'nung asked

"We will see my child"

"It'll be okay momma, just rest now"

With that I felt safe enough to close my eyes, I just hoped I'd wake up
