The Other Girl

I woke up in the cave, we must have fallen asleep and spent the night

I stretched feeling the warmth next to me, I rolled over and laid on top of him, laying my hands on his big chest

I heard him groan as he wrapped his arms around my hips

"Tonowari time to wake up!" I whispered

"Just a little bit more"

"No we need to get up now, before the others start to get suspicious of where you've went"

"Ugh I guess" he sat up so I was now straddling his lap

"I wish we could stay like this, stay here away from the stress, away from everything" he said as he squeezed my hips

"Me too"

He kissed me gently before we made our way back to the beach, he held my hand the whole way there, then we heard a group of people call out for Tonowari

"Come I'll introduce you to my friends" as we walked over I noticed one of the girls glaring at me

"Hey everyone I wanted to introduce you all to y/n, I thought it would help her fit in here if she got to know everyone!" After that he introduced me to all the guys and they were very polite

"And this is Ronal" he stated and it was the girl that had glared at me

"Hi" I said wary

"You do know that I am arranged to be mated to Tonowari right" she blunted blurted out and I felt Tonowari tense up

I quickly released my hand from Tonowari's grip and walked away, I could stand the embarrassment, how could he make feel all these amazing wonderful feelings only to be arranged to another, I should have know it was too good to be true this quickly too

I made my way back to my pod, I was so sad but I felt so angry too, he made me feel safe here what was I suppose to do now

"Y/N! y/n are you in here?" I heard him say as he got closer to my pod but I didn't answer

I just curled up and covered myself with my leaf blanket but I heard him getting close

"Angel please just listen to me" he said as he pulled back my blanket

"Why should I listen to you Tonowari?" I said as I wiped my tears

"I know you probably feel like I've betrayed you but I promise I wouldn't do that to you" he said as he placed his hand on my cheek

"Tonowari how can I believe that, you made me feel like I was the only one for you only for you to be arranged to someone else, how is this going to work, your parents would never let you be with me if you're already arranged to her" I cried out

"I've never had feelings for her, never, I've only ever wanted you, I promise you're the only one I've ever felt like this towards, we can make this work"

"I don't know Tonowari, if you're parents are already hard on you there's no way they'll let me be with you. I'm just a forest girl I can't live up to their standards, maybe.....maybe I should go back home, this was a bad idea" I got up and started frantically packing up all my stuff

"No no please stay, I was going to tell you but when I'm with you I never think of her, I never think of her in general, just please stop and listen to me" he said as he grabbed my shoulders, turning me around to look at him and I could see the tears brim his eyes

"You are the only one for me, I know it, I could feel it the moment I laid eyes on you, Eywa brought you to me, I.....I see you" when he said that it felt like my heart stopped

"I see you too Tonowari, but how are we going to make this work?" I said as he pulled me against his chest

"I'll talk to my parents, I don't care what I have to do but I will be with you I promise"
