there i was, in the crowd
unknown people, they surround
anxious and unfamiliar
as my mind slowly drifted afar
but, in my peripheral view
someone caught my attention, it was you
amazed, mesmerized, flabbergasted
my heart, you have instantly bested
such an enthralling stance
has left me quite entranced
despite the volume of people
in the spotlight, your smile so simple
suddenly struck with feelings of blue
for there, all i could ever do
was gaze at your being
and appreciate this wonderful feeling
