Today Lucas had an early morning practice and Jamie had just started her period. Currently, she was lying in bed, surrounded by at least a million blankets, eating ice cream and watching Modern Family. It is the only show that takes her mind away from the cramps.
Once she heard the microwave go off, indicating that her heating pad was heated, she groaned loudly at the thought of having to stand up. When she went to get up, however, her stomach got a horrible cramp. She started crying from the pain when she heard the front door open and close loudly.
"Jamie? I'm back!" Lucas shouted from the living room. All she did was whimper in pain as a response, not being able to get out actual words.
Lucas walked in and saw her all curled up in the middle of the bed while crying. He immediately ran over to her, pulling her into his lap and holding her head to his chest.
"Oh baby, It's alright." He cooed in my ear. "Does your stomach hurt?" Jamie only nodded in response. He ran his hand gently through her hair, calming me down slightly. He grabbed the remote, turning on Top Gun since it is both of their comfort movies.
Lucas's POV
I turned on Top Gun after Jamie calmed down. She was laying her head on my chest, while my back was resting against the headboard.
Around half way through the movie, I heard light snores coming from Jamie, indicating that she had fallen asleep.
I kissed her forehead, whispering a soft "sleep well" before turning off the movie, and falling asleep myself.
