I want Mitch and Steph to adopt me so yes. I'm making a daughter imagine with them. Bc I can.
Background: Aurora "Rory" Marner, 3 years old, loves going to her dad's hockey, team loves her like their niece, like Mitch's mini (I'd feel bad for Steph lol)
"Daddy." Rory said. Mitch looked down at his daughter who was standing right by his feet. He's currently getting ready to go to practice.
"Yes?" He responded, leaning down to pick her up.
"Can I come to practice?" She pleaded.
Mitch sighed. "Only if your mom's okay with it." The girl in his arms smiled and wiggled away from his grip. He laughed as the little girl ran away in he and his wife's room.
"Mommy!" She asked upon seeing Steph getting ready for the day. She looked down and smiled at Rory. "Can I go to daddy's practice?" Aurora gave her best puppy eyes and stuck her lip out.
"Sure." Steph shrugged.
"THANK YOUUU!" The little demon, I mean child, screamed while hugging her mom. She laughed and hugged Rory back before shooing her off to her father.
Mitch caught the girl in his arms when she launched at him and they left the house to go to practice. Rory talked her poor dad's ears off the whole drive to the practice arena. Once they arrived, he grabbed his daughter from the back and carried her in.
"Auston!" Rory exclaimed upon seeing non other than Auston Matthews. The man smiled and grabbed Rory, allowing Mitch to quickly change into his gear and practice jersey.
Matthews put Rory down on the bench and talked to her for a few minutes until her dad came back out and on the ice, allowing practice to begin. They did a few drills and the girl on the bench watched intently. She's starting hockey next year so she's trying to learn as much as she can so that maybe she can make it to the NHL and play for the Leafs too.
"Rory come here!" Mitch called his daughter over as practice was almost over. She stepped onto the ice she's been on many times before and somehow ran without falling over to where her dad was.
He picked her up and gave her his stick. The pair went over towards Samsonov, the puck on the stick. The girl shot it towards the goalie and successfully got it into his five hole. She cheered loudly and the others all cheered, while Sammy laughed and dramatically fell onto the ice.
Rory ran over to him and jumped onto his stomach. The pair has always been close since they've met, so this was just normal activity at this point. He groaned but continued laughing. Mitch just rolled his eyes at the two, knowing he'll be hearing from Steph about how he shouldn't let their daughter do that. But in his defense..
..It's pretty damn funny. That's why he loves bringing his daughter to practice.
