TW: Mentions of death, alcohol abuse, drugs, suicide and depression ⚠️

This is gonna be really sad so read at your own risk.

Based off of See You Again by Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth

It's been a long day

Without you my friend

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

It's officially been 48 hours since Owen found out that his girlfriend of 3 years, Brynn, died in a car accident on her way to his game. Since he has found out, he hasn't slept, eaten, showered, left his place, or anything. All he's been doing was looking through old pictures of he and Brynn and drowning himself in alcohol.

People have tried contacting him, coming to his apartment, but he's ignored them. Hell, it got so bad that they tried breaking down his door or even picking the lock, but it didn't work. Owen's life doesn't feel the same without her. He feels a need to see her again. A need to touch her, talk to her, anything. He just needs her to come back to him and tell him it was all just a bad dream.

How can we not talk about family

When families all that we got

Everything I went through

You were standing there by my side

And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

Owen was watching a video of Brynn dancing and singing to "Sexy Bitch" by David Guetta, having the time of her life. He dropped the phone in his hand and started sobbing. But he couldn't stop.

The pain he was feeling wouldn't leave. It's been a week and he still hasn't done anything but watch videos, look at pictures and sleep with her perfume sprayed on his pillow. Kyle Okposo and Jeff Skinner came over and forced him to eat so he wouldn't starve to death. They tried getting him out to practice but he just couldn't go.

Brynn loved hockey. She loved going to practice with him, she loved watching the games, she loved everything about it. Hockey reminded Owen too much of her. I mean, he was planning on proposing to her on the ice at the end of tomorrows game against Philadelphia.

Now, he was sitting on the floor, ring and head in his hands, still sobbing. All he needs is for her to appear next to him and tell him it was all a dream.

So let the light guide your way

Hold every memory as you go

And every road you take

Will always lead you home

After two weeks, Owen couldn't take this pain anymore. He didn't go to the game against Philadelphia. He didn't go to practice. It reminded him of Brynn. His Brynn. He couldn't do anything anymore.

Finally, he went into his bathroom and grabbed his meds for the depression that he had gained over these two weeks of isolation. The boys forced him to a therapist, where she gave the drugs to him. He never went to her again.

He grabbed a glass and filled it with water water before beginning to force every single one of the tiny pills down. Before he knew it, everything went black. He lost all feeling in his body. One of the last things he felt was his brain shut down. The last thing he ever heard was "call an ambulance."

When Owen finally woke up, it was bright. A familiar face was standing over him and he started to finally smile for the first time in weeks.

"Welcome home, Owen." Brynn greeted.

***

Y'all I'm so sorry for this one but I've been wanting to write it for a while. I will pay for your therapy.

Ha you wish. I'm broke as hell.

EDIT: this was by far the most difficult one to edit. I don't remember this being as sad as it is
