Background: Taytum "Tayt" Turcotte, '09 (14), Alex tried to keep her away from the media so her life was easier, extremely close with Alex and his friends/old teammates.
All Alex's POV
I fucked up. I fucked up real bad.
Tayt came to my game with me today and the media saw her with me. I've tried to keep her away from the media but I failed her. She's all over the media and I just can't stop thinking about how I should have never let this happen.
"FUCK!" I yelled as I threw a pillow across my apartment. Soft footsteps came down the hall and Taytum was revealed around the corner.
"Al?" She questioned. "Why're you upset?" She sat down on the couch beside me. Mom said that she could stay with me for the week and we both agreed, so she was staying in my spare room.
"I failed you." I mumbled incoherently. Tayt laughed. "Why are you laughing?" I whined.
"You didn't fail me." She giggled. "What made you think that?"
"You're all over the media right now and I'm to blame for that." A sigh escaped my mouth as my head fell into my hands. "I'm a horrible brother."
"You're acting like it's the end of the world." She said with a smile. "I don't care, Alex." Her eyes held a devious glint. "Now I get to tell people you care about me." She stated triumphantly.
I groaned as she skipped down the hallway to FaceTime her friends and tell them I "actually care about her." My hand found the remote as I turned the Flames vs Devils game on.
