Good To Be Back - Jamie Drysdale

"Please tell me you're coming." Jamie begged Madison with puppy dog eyes. She giggled and nodded.

"Of course I'm going. It's your first game back in, like, forever!" His smile grew. "I'm sitting with the other WAGs behind the net." Her arms wrapped around him tightly.

Their little puppy, Rocket, came trotting into the room and went in between the couple. The two looked at each other than the dog and laughed. Jamie picked him up and held him tightly between the two.

Honda Center

Madison was happy as she sat with the girls for the first time in a while at a hockey game. She's missed them a ton. The teams both came out for warm up and the girl watched her boyfriend watch the puck with a concentration and focus she's missed in him.

Ever since his injury he's been nervous to go back. He'd told her how he feels he gets injured too easily to be in the league. However, she told him otherwise and helped him through that and helped him to get back out onto the ice with his team.

Jamie looked up from the ice and made eye contact with Madison. He smiled giddily and waved at her. Chuckling, she waved back at him while he went and skated by the glass, interacting with a few fans.

Most of the team got off the ice with around three minutes left on the clock for warm ups. The two zambonis drove out after the buzzer went and the players cleared the ice. The girls all went down to the locker room with their passes all of them have.

"Maddie!" Jamie smiled when she walked into the room. He got up and ran over to her.

A couple of the guys 'oohed' the couple but all in all left them alone after a look from their respective partner. The couple pulled away after a couple minutes and went over to Jamie's stall.

"You excited?" Madison asked him after he sat down. She opted to kneeling in front of him since that normally helped calm his game day jitters.

"Kinda nervous." Jamie answered cautiously. She sighed and sat beside him. Her head fell onto his padded shoulder, her hand finding his own.

As she went to speak, coach walked up and announced the game day lineup and did a little speech to get the boys hyped. They all cheered and stood up to go to the ice. Before Jamie left, Madison gave him a quick peck on the lips and walked back out and to the stands.

A layer of pink dusted Jamie's cheeks as he walked out to the tunnel. The team all made fun of him but he just rolled his eyes and walked onto the ice behind Gibby.

End

Madison waited for Jamie after the game. The Ducks got shut out by the Flames 3-0, so she had a hunch he wouldn't be to happy. Although, he walked out with a light smile.

"I did it!" He spoke with excitement. "I played and didn't get injured!" After that part, he pulled his shorter girlfriend into a hug.

"Good to be back, huh?" Jamie smiled and nodded after Madison's comment. He had a big win tonight; he got back to the sport he loves.
