I'm sorry this is a day late. I didn't have my laptop yesterday and I don't have Wattpad on my phone, so I couldn't make this.
But to the point. I can't believe it has been 5 years since the accident. My heart goes out to all the families and friends who lost someone in this horrible accident.
Every year, I send my prayers to them so they can get through this day. Since April 6, 2018. I remember me and my family sitting in the living room, crying while listening to the news. We're a massive hockey family, so knowing something like this could happen to my brother whenever he's on the road with his team is frightening.
It's horrible to think that those players were going to play a game, they were going to Nipawin to play a game. Little did they know, 16 of them wouldn't come home to their families.
The hockey community is a family. When a team is hurt, both mentally and physically, we all hurt. Some of them won't be able to play hockey ever again, and some are up in the heavens while watching over their friends and families.
They will forever be remembered, and will always have a special place in our hearts. Well, at least mine.
