I decided to meet up with Alyssa after school. It seems that she has some sort of intel on Mei-Li Chan. I was very skeptical about this whole thing, but I decided I should hear her out.
Alyssa: "Jalen! Over here!"
Jalen: "Greetings to you, Alyssa. So what do you have on Mei-Li?"
Alyssa: "A lot actually. You will be quite impressed by what I have on her."
To sum it up, Mei Li has been traumatized by both parents for most of her life. Because of that, she has this very aggressive side where if she doesn't get the attention she deserves or it doesn't go her way, she could be a triggered person who will cause chaos.
Regarding her family situation, she lost both of her parents during her last year of middle school. Consequently, she had to reside with her uncle and aunt, but the living arrangement was far from ideal. In contrast to the treatment her cousin received, they struggled to accept her and were often neglectful because they were uncertain about how to handle her. After two years, her aunt and uncle passed away, so she has been living independently for some time now. Despite receiving financial support from her parents and her late relatives, she still finds herself unhappy.
Fortunately, her parents were very wealthy despite her living in a modest two-roomed apartment. However, despite her wealth, she seems to lack happiness. Despite her reserved demeanor and passion for reading, I failed to notice her inner turmoil. She is known to be competitive, helping her peers succeed in their endeavors.
Alyssa: "And that's about it."
Jalen: "I see. All we need to do is to make her lose somehow."
Alyssa: "It's not as easy as you think."
I found it to be a bit unusual, but only time will tell.
Alyssa: "I think we can part ways for today. See you tomorrow Jalen!"
Jalen: "Yep. See you tomorrow. Good luck with your campaign once again."
I need some time to consider that. Is Mei-Li truly a problematic individual? It's difficult to believe. However, everyone has their true nature when they're not in the spotlight. My conclusion may not be far off - Mei-Li Chan could be an attention-seeking narcissist.
