(Note: This will be a very long chapter)
Today is Wednesday in West High School. It's Day 3 of the hunt for the new Student president. I must admit. It's becoming a very close match with the recent results. Jeslyn is now leading with 49% of the votes, Alyssa with 38%, and Mei-Li with only 13%.
After my discussion with Jeslyn, things have been a lot better. I decided to walk around the hallway once again when I ran into Jeslyn.
Jeslyn: "Good morning, Jalen!"
Jalen: "Ah. Good morning to you as well, Jeslyn."
Jeslyn: "It seems that I will be the student president after all."
Jalen: "Seems to be the case."
I could tell that Alyssa would be disappointed about the current results of the voting. Then again, she can try again next year.
Jeslyn: "We have until tomorrow for the votes to be finalized."
Jalen: "Yep. I do have a problem with the voting system though."
Jeslyn: "How so?"
Jalen: "Isn't it weird that you have to do a speech every day this week? Don't you think it's strange that students have to vote every day on who will win?"
Jeslyn: "To be honest, not really. Then again, the voting system is strange."
Alyssa: "Greetings to you, Jeslyn."
Jeslyn: "What do you want?"
Alyssa: "Oh. Not in the mood for a quick chat, huh?"
Jeslyn: "I'm busy at the moment. Come back later."
Alyssa: "Oh, my! I'm afraid that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment."
I started walking away from the bickering and went to class; leaving Jeslyn and Alyssa with arguments.
Alyssa: "How about later today?"
Jeslyn: "What's there to talk about?"
Alyssa: "Oh, nothing much. Just some intel to crush Mei-Li."
Jeslyn: "Look. I want nothing associated with you so please leave."
Alyssa: "Guess I shall make my leave. Good day."
Jeslyn: (I have no idea what that was all about, but ok.)
Jeslyn's POV: With that, I had no idea what Alyssa wanted from me. All I wanted was for her to leave me alone. it's not that I have a rivalry with her, she's my opponent at the moment in this election. I will dethrone her in this charade and then we can talk...
Jalen's POV: I left their conversation but hearing Mei-Li's name in the conversation was quickly interesting to talk about. I'm saying that I would like to dethrone Mei-Li but seeing her lose was what I wanted.
(6 hours later):
Things seemed to be a very normal day in school, until the end of the day. The one person that's been trailing in the election this whole time has finally come out.
Mei-Li: "Jalen!"
Mei-Li called for me in such a disgusting way. I knew this wasn't going to be good.
Jalen: "May I help you?"
Mei-Li: "Enough with the formal stuff! I know you have been working with Jeslyn to help her win."
Jalen: "So? It's not like I'm you."
Mei-Li: "What's that supposed to mean?"
She came closer to me and blocked me to the wall. I was seeing her right in front of me super close. I was pretty calm on the inside but outside, I was actually terrified.
