Unexpected Call

Ever since the night I got home from London, I have been miserable. I miss my family Sarah and Basti and I have been thinking about Jamie ever since. He ended things in such an amazing way and now I am truthfully torn and confused about my feelings towards him. It's been 3 days and I haven't really heard from him, only when I have seen him on TV and his interviews. It's a cold and rainy friday afternoon and I have been lounging around my house, trying to look around at ideas for Sarah's wedding. I have to go back so we can look at venues and get a better feel for when they want everything done by, so I might as well look at what I know she will like. She is my best friend after all.

I was sitting on my huge comfy couch, surrounded by huge pillows when my phone vibrated on the coffee table infront of me. I leaned forward and checked it, moving my papers out of the way. Surprisingly it was Jamie.

J:"Hey Kim how is it going ?" it read. I slouched back, biting on my bottom lip, trying to hide my huge grin. I don't even know why I was trying to hide it when I am home by myself. Should I text him back or not? So I swiped my screen and I replied.

K: "hey! it's going good, you?"

J: "That's good! and I am great!"

Well that was fast ! Not even a minute later he replied.
This is odd, he's even replying fast. What's with him? I walked into my kitchen to make something to eat, and replied.
K: "that's so good!".

I don't mind being short with hm right now. I walked over to my fridge and opened it, grabbing some cheese, and he replied already. I leaned on the counter and read his text.

J: "Yeah. So about when you left, I am sorry if I pushed some boundries. I really didn't mean to and it just happened. You know I think you're a great girl and I didn't want to confuse you in anyway."

I rolled my eyes not sure what to think. It was one of those texts that made my stomach go in a knot, making me feel extremely nervous about what he was trying to do to me.

K: "No, no, that's alright with me. I didn't mind ".

He responded not 30 seconds after.

J: "Okay good, Cuz I didn't want to hurt you or ruin you. It was really hard seeing you and not being able to do anything with you. You looked so happy to be here and when we were cuddling on the couch when Basti and Sarah were on their wekend getaway, I really wanted to go further with you. I enjoyed it so much and made me feel amazing "

WHAT!? Is this real life or a huge joke? My stomach was full of butterflies and my heart was pounding out of my chest. I didn't know what to respond, was this even him? With great hesitation I responded to him, fingers shaking with nerves.

K: "Wow, not gonna lie, I did too Jamie, you made me so happy. I really like it."

J: "I feel like a dick for how I treated you and I know I sound like a pussy right now, especially doing this over text, but I want to try to make things better. Honest."

K: "What you did really hurt and I don't feel like having this conversation with you over text. I wanna see you face to face."

J: "Understandable. I knew you'd want that. Well I play in Toronto on Saturday. I am leaving you tickets whether you like it or not. Jamie will be there too and you guys will be in a box together if you really wanted, doesn't matter to me. I really wanna see you when I go."

I slightly began to blush. He has never even offered to leave me tickets before and it made me feel somewhat special. I know his family will be there for sure since they live so close, but I am glad Sarah will be there too so I can see her.

K: "Sweet, thank you so much!"

J: "Oh anytime. I knew I always said I would leave you some and I never did."

K: "Yeah.."

J: "I'm sorry Kim."

K: "It's ok."

J: "I have to go to the gym now, but I will talk to you when I can :)"

K: "Okay, have fun at the gym! :)"

J: "Will do, bye Kim!"

K: "Bye Jamie :)"

Well this sh'all be an interesting week. Of course He made me mad, but it's all good, I understand with where he was coming from. I took my grilled cheese and sat back on the couch, overlooking wedding themes again, and enjoying the rest of the afternoon.
