Karn left Drina and went to Duryodhan's chambers. He entered his chamber and saw Gandhar Raj Shakuni and Dushasan too.
"Welcome Mitr" Duryodhan welcomed him warmly
"Pranaam Angraj" Shakuni and Dusshasan greeted him
"Pranaam Gandhar raj and Kumar Dusshasan" Karn smiled
" Mitr, I will need your help in future but first I must tell you about my enemies" Duryodhan stated
" I promise you, mitr that whosoever is your enemy, he will face the wrath of Karn" Karn reassuringly said
"Sadly Angraj, this battle is not of swords, this is a battle of RajNiti," Shakuni said with an over-sugar-coated smile, showing his rotten teeth and his rotten heart.
Karn frowned "RajNiti?" he questioned
" The throne of Hastinapur is Bhrata Duryodhan's but Pitamah and Mantri Vidur want to make Yudhishtir the king" Dusshasan explained
Shakuni understood that Karn is a very strong pawn but is under the control of his so-called dharma. "No no Angraj" Shakuni denied " My Bhanja was born first but it took him 2 years to reach here," he said
"So what now?" Karn asked hesitantly, unsure of what his new friend would want. Karn remembered Drina's words about how Shakuni had filled hatred in Duryodhan's heart towards Pandavs even being their own family. "I must end them" Duryodhan growled with his eyes filled with hatred and anger. Karn was shocked and said, "Mitr, but aren't they your family?" he inquired. Duryodhan snapped his head towards Karn and answered, "They are no family of mine. They are just servants and das. They came from the jungle and wanted the throne to be bestowed upon them" he completed
Karn was in a dilemma, Duryodhan was the one who gave him a kingdom, and a reputation when almost everyone was against him but knew what Duryodhan is doing is against dharma. 'He is my friend, and as a friend, it is my duty to bring him on the path of Dharma' Karn thought and decided
"Bharata, I am hungry, it is time for lunch also let's go, everyone must be there too," Dusshasan said rubbing his stomach, Shakuni laughed and they all went to the Dining area.
They all went inside and saw many tasty dishes lined up, sabzi, daal, puri and much more, the smell hit their noses and watered their mouth. Pandavs were already sitting and so were the Elders. They sat down and Gandhari started to serve the food to them. "The food is so tasty." complimented Dusshasan. " Who made it?" he asked licking his finger
"Devsena made it," Bheem said absent-mindedly using Drina's other name
Everyone frowned except Pandavs. "Who is Devsena here?" Gandhari asked. " My other name is Devsena mata. The army of gods" Drina said. Bhishma's eyes widened and he said shockingly "Putri, you are the warrior who defeated the whole army of Pukeya alone," he said. Vidur and Dhritrashtra stopped eating and looked at her.
