Love at First Sight

Chapter Four

Clarion flies away and heads towards the border thinking about Milori. Over in winter, Milori is doing the same. They both get there at about the same time.

"You came! Of course!" they both said in unison.

"Did anybody follow you?" asked Milori.

"No. You?" Clarion replied.

"No."

"Good. You know I wasn't sure if you would come."

"And miss your breathtaking beauty? Never."

The pair stayed there for hours and got lost in each other. By the time they realized how long they had been there, it was very late at night. 

"Jingles!" exclaimed Clarion

"What?" Milori asked her.

"Nothing, it's just, look how late it is. I should be going."

"Ya me too. Even though I really don't want to."

"Neither do I but sadly I must." Clarion gave Milori a quick kiss on the cheek and said "Let's meet here again tomorrow at sunset, " before leaving.

Milori touched his cheek and whispered, "Tomorrow my love."

The next day

Clarion woke up thinking about Milori. She had a very busy day ahead of her. She got out of bed, flew over to her closet, and picked out a beautiful pink dress with matching shoes. She flew over to her vanity and brushed her hair then grabbed her tiara and put it on. She headed out to make her rounds. By the time she finished, it was getting close to sunset. She flew home quickly to put away her tiara and then quickly flew back to the border to meet her charming winter sparrow man. She was a few minutes early so she just sat on the log and waited. Milori arrived a few minutes later. When he got there he said

"Hello, beautiful."

"Hi, Milori." Clarion said with a smile. Milori sat down with her on the log and then wrapped her up and held her in his arms being careful to keep her wings in the warm seasons. It wasn't long before Clarion found her lips just inches from Milori's. This was it they were about to share their first kiss. Clarion moved her lips closer to Milori's and then they connected. Milori kissed her with everything that he had and she kissed him right back. Clarion's hands instinctively slid over Milori's broad shoulders and onto the middle of his back. She let out a soft moan as his icy cold lips touched her soft warm ones. The two stayed like that for a long time. They finally broke apart, both needing air.

"That was incredible!" said Clarion

"It really was," said Milori

"Clarion, I love you"

"I love you too, Milori."

The two kissed again

"You know this is crazy right?" asked Milori

"What's crazy?" said Clarion

"Us, this. I mean I just kissed you for crying out loud."

"You did. I wouldn't mind if you did it again."

Milori happily obliges to this request when they break apart Clarion says

"Yes, I know how crazy this is. Could you imagine if anyone found out and it got back to the lord of winter."

"Or the princess," said Milori

"The princess? Ha! She's a major romantic! She wouldn't care one bit. She'd love the fact that we're together. The real disaster would be if the queen found out."

Clarion looked at the sky. Seeing how dark it is she sighs and tells Milori

"Time for the worst part of my day."

"I know."

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Tomorrow my love."

A/N: I hope you enjoyed this chapter! A couple of notes real quick. 1. Every meeting at the border is really long but I don't have time to write them all like that. The time that it would take me to write them long like that is time that I could instead be using to write more awesome chapters for my awesome readers :) 2. If the story has seemed a little slow so far, I promise it gets better soon. I've been writing like crazy all weekend! 3. I'm asking for a little bit of feedback here.
