The girls started walking down the hallway. As soon as they were out of earshot of the queens Clarion said "So, you go by Sage now?"

"Yeah. I figured new place, new title, new name. I couldn't come up with anything else so I used my old group tag from school. Remember. When we used to call each other Sage and Vixie."

"Oh yeah. And Mary was like dark moon or something like that."

"Eclipse. Her nickname was Eclipse."

"Oh yeah! I wonder if she still remembers that."

"Probably. That girl has a good memory."

"That she does. Anyway, what's been going on with you?"

"Well... I have a boyfriend now."

"Shut up! Spill."

"His name is Tyler, he's really tall and he's got these amazing eyes. He's really kind and family oriented. He's got two sisters and a little brother that I absolutely adore. I'll have to show you pictures of him and his family later. What about you? Tell me about your boyfriend."

"I don't have one." Clarion lied

"Come on Clair. Don't lie to me. I noticed that promise ring that you're wearing and I know how to spot your lies from a mile away."

"Dang it! I was hoping you wouldn't notice my ring. Alright fine. I'll tell you but you have to promise not to tell anyone else."

"Deal."

"So his name is Milori, he's got a twin sister who has a bit of an attitude, and oh my gosh his eyes. He has the most incredible blue eyes."

"What kind of stuff is he into?"

"Well, he really likes hockey and music. He can sing better than anyone else I know and he loves my art."

"What about his parents? What are they like?"

"I don't know. I haven't met them yet."

"Wait, how long have you been with him?"

"A year."

"You've been together for a year and you still haven't met his parents?"

"Not yet but they're either not in the picture or they live a ways away. I'm not sure. He doesn't talk about them much and I don't ask. He hasn't met my parents yet either."

"Yeah, but your parents never leave this place. So what's his talent?"

"About that... this is the part that you can't tell anyone. He's a winter fairy."

"Wait what? OMG! You dating a winter fairy! And I thought you were the rule follower."

"I know. But it gets better. He's not just any winter fairy... he's the prince of winter.

"Dang girl! You did good! You scored the prince of winter!"

"I know."

"Is Hyacinth still obsessed with you?"

"Worse than ever before. But get this, the girls and I set him up on a blind date with Sunny the other day without telling him it was a date and it worked! He asked her out for real!"

"Shut up! Are you messing with me? He actually took his mind off of you long enough to ask her out?

"That's what I said!"

"You know, I've always thought that they would make a good couple."

"Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one."

The girls continued to talk about home and the people and places there until Clarion's phone rang.

"Oh, it's my mom. I forgot to tell her that I'm here."

Clarion answered the phone

"Hey, Mama. Yes, I'm at the palace. Yes, everything was fine. You know what, can I call you back in a minute. Ok, thanks. Love you too Mama." She hung up and said to Jaina "Sorry about that. I'll FaceTime her when I get to my room."

"It's cool. I get it. My mom does the same thing. Or at least... she used to. Anyway, here's your room." Jaina opened the door and Clarion gasped. Her room was incredible. It was huge and there was a massive walk-in closet, a queen size bed, a huge bathroom, a balcony, and several windows that overlooked the ocean.

"Jai, this is too much."

"Oh, nonsense. You're our guest. It's only right that you get this room. Besides, we always give our diplomatic guests this space. Feel free to decorate it as you like. With your eye for art, I'm sure you'll make this place look amazing."

"Thank you, Jai."

"No problem. I'll leave you to get settled." Jaina left and Clarion immediately went out on the balcony and took a selfie. She sent it to Milori first along with the caption "Look where I am! I miss you already. ❤️" then she sent it to Mary and the group chat with the ministers. Immediately people started to respond. Milori answered first "That's such an amazing view! I miss you too. Love you. ❤️"

The next answer was Sunny saying that she was glad to hear that Clarion had made it to Angeles and she was also amazed by the view. Hyacinth simply liked the message as did Mary. Snow simply ignored it. Then Clarion posted it on her Instagram and captioned it Just got to Angeles. Loving this view! Now it was time to unpack. "I'd better call Mama." Clarion said to herself. She called her mom and went into the closet to start unpacking. Then her mom picked up.

"Hey, baby."

"Hey, Mama. Sorry I had to hang up earlier. It was kind of a bad time."

"That's ok. So, when are you coming over? I'm making spaghetti for dinner tonight and Alana and Johnny are coming over with the babies." Clarion's older sister Alana had been married for 5 years now and they had three kids. A four-year-old girl, a three-year-old girl, and a one-year-old boy. Clarion absolutely adored them and the girls loved their Auntie. The baby was still too little to know Clarion really well.

"I wasn't planning on coming over tonight but if you're making spaghetti and if Alana and Johnny are coming over then I might as well. I'll be over around five."

"Good. You tell that Jaina she's welcome to come as well."

"Jaina? Who's Jaina?" Clarion asked, pretending not to know about Jaina being the princess. Over the past year with Milori, she had gotten very good at redirecting attention and changing the subject. Jaina walked in at that moment and said

"It's cool, Clair. Your family knows. Hey Lisa."

"Jaina is that you?"

"Sure is Lisa."

"You have to come over for dinner tonight dear. I'm making spaghetti. And bring that boyfriend of yours with you. "

"We'll be there for sure! Clair, Queen Raya wants to see you downstairs as soon as you're done unpacking. I think she wants to go over the itinerary for your visit."

"Of course she does. Ok, tell her I'll be right there. Thanks."

"No problem." then her mom said on the phone

"Well, I'd better let you go so you can finish unpacking."

"Ok, Mama. I'll see you at five. Love you."

"Love you too sweetie." Then her mom hung up.
