Hey everyone. This is my new story, "Restore". It's a sequel to my book, "Purge" so I'd recommend reading that one first as a lot of this probably won't make sense otherwise.
A few things:
First, this book picks up about two years after the last one leaves off, but it starts a few months before the epilogue of the last book takes place. It sounds a bit confusing, but you'll understand hopefully.
Second, this is an mpreg story, meaning Harry is going to be pregnant, giving birth, and breastfeeding, even though he is a man. If that's something you don't like, then you don't have to read this. Also, we're not really going to be discussing how it works because I don't want to think that hard about it lol
Third, this book is going to talk a lot about mental health and specifically PTSD, and postpartum depression. I'll put trigger warnings at the beginnings of chapters that deal heavily with these topics, but if you ever feel uncomfortable, please stop reading. I want everyone to be safe.
Adding onto that, this is the sequel to a war story. The main characters are soldiers who are trying to establish their lives after a war, and therefore, there may be some flashbacks to and discussions of graphic violence and subjects such as torture, rape, death, and fighting. Again, I'll put trigger warnings at the beginnings of chapters, but please listen to yourself and keep yourself safe. Only you know your limits and if you ever need to stop reading, please do. <3
Also, I'm not super comfortable writing smut, so I just want to say ahead of time, there will be some scenes where either I'll just skim over stuff briefly or I'll just cut off before they do anything at all. Sorry in advance for robbing you lol
The last book I wrote didn't have any pictures in it because I never had any need for them, but in this book, since they're finally back in the real world and Harry can go shopping, I will be describing outfits that characters are wearing and lots of them will be based off of things they've worn irl. Therefore, I'll probably put some pictures of those outfits in the story just so I don't have to awkwardly try to describe exactly what I'm thinking of. Just wanted to say that in advance :)
This is a fanfiction, meaning some of the characters in the story (the one direction boys, among others) are people in real life, but the characters are simply based off of them. These are not real things that happened to them, and this book is not meant to represent them as real life people.
Lastly, just because a character says something does not believe that I agree with it. Especially in the instances of "villains" in the story. There will be some homophobia and insults and such that I do not endorse, nor believe, but it's there to move the plot along and to enhance the story.
