Two years later

"Papa, stop!" Darcy cries, squirming away from Harry.

Harry chuckles and gives her one last kiss on her cheek. "But you're so grown up, going to school and everything."

"But you don't need to kiss me all over!" Darcy protests.

"It's just 'cause he loves you, big girl," Louis grins, kneeling down beside her as well and pulling her into a hug.

"Dad..."

"Hey, at least I'm not kissing you like Papa did," Louis says.

Darcy grumbles a bit but lets her dad hug her for a little while longer. "Bye Morgan!" she calls, waving to her two-year-old sister, who's clinging to Harry's hand.

"Bye bye!" Morgan waves her chubby little hand, green eyes sparkling with tears.

"Don't cry, Mo," Darcy says, going to hug her. "I'm gonna be back soon."

"Miss you," Morgan says, pouting.

"Miss you too," Darcy says, patting her on the head and making Morgan giggle.

"Darce, remember to ask your teacher if you need anything," Harry reminds his five-year-old. "We'll see you in a few hours right out here, okay?"

"Okay," Darcy says. "Bye!"

And with that, she runs off, joining the queue of little kids filing into the classroom.

"She'll be fine," Louis says softly, rubbing Harry's back.

"I know," Harry replies, but he feels a lump form in his throat anyway.

He tries to hold in his tears as they walk back to their car. They strap Morgan into the backseat and Louis looks over to see tears still pooling in Harry's eyes.

"Hazza," he chuckles, "she's fine. It's no different than daycare. It's just a different place."

"I know, but she's all grown up now and starting school..." Harry says with a watery voice. "She was just a baby a little while ago and now she's running off and soon she won't even need us to take care of her anymore-"

"Woah, slow down," Louis says, grinning a little at Harry's blubbering. "She's only five. Not leaving us yet."

"I know," Harry sighs.

Louis pulls him into an warm embrace and Harry buries his face in the crook of his neck, tears sliding down his cheeks and falling onto Louis's shirt.

"Stupid hormones," Harry grumbles after he's calmed down a bit.

Louis laughs and pulls away from his husband, reaching out to rub Harry's rounded belly. "Good thing you're pretty when you cry," he says.

"Sure," Harry rolls his eyes.

"It's true, my love," Louis chuckles.

Harry just sighs and gets into the passenger seat of the car. Louis smiles fondly and follows, driving them home. He drops Harry and Morgan off at their house and then goes off to work.

While in the office, though, he can hardly concentrate. As if it isn't enough that his baby girl started school that day, Harry's also going to the most crucial appointment of the whole pregnancy that afternoon: the appointment when they get to find out the gender of their baby.

Louis's so excited for this baby. It was a bit of a surprise, but he and Harry were both so happy when they found out Harry was pregnant again. They were terrified too. It seems that every time Harry's been pregnant before, something's gone wrong.
