luke carried the cooler of beer across the driveway. michael was stood at the doorway, smiling as he watched the rest of the band piling out of the car. the party was on saturday, but it was only wednesday at the time. they had already bought most of the party essentials, they were now just solving the smaller details.
they had just finished dumping all of the bottles of the table when michael pulled luke aside, standing by the stairs.
"i don't know where you are with this, but, are you planning of staying the night with joey or not?"
luke was taken aback. if he could maximise his time being around joey then he knew it would be time well spent. but, he didn't know if he was ready to go too far in thier relationship yet.
"save us a room. but if it doesn't get used, don't worry about it."
"alright, just don't get hooked on the idea that we're gonna let you give up on her, ever."
michael smiled a little as he walked away.
"whats that supposed to mean?" luke heard his voice, he knew it sounded jokey still but he genuinely curious.
"you guys have so much chemistry, we aren't gonna let your negativity ruin your shot."
