joey opened her phone to see her manager's name glowing in front of her. they were in contact with a casting agent they met at michael's party. he had conveniently started calling the second she had gotten home. she picked up straight away, launching herself on her couch.
"hello? is this joey katz on the line?"
"yes?"
"alright, we are just calling to say on behalf of that casting team that they would like to offer you a new job."
oh my gosh. someone was offering her a position. they weren't asking her to audition. they were giving her the role.
"of course! send me the scripts over, thank you!"
"you're welcome - filming starts in july in romania."
shit. she was used to filming in big studio lots or the occasional location, but they were usually down the road or maybe out of state. now she had to cross the ocean. out of the continent.
"does that clash with anything else?"
"no, the angel constellation wraps early june. have you had that script over too?"
"oh, yes." she gulped a little. she knew that he meant that only her parts would be wrapped in june. clem and the other actors would be there still. she was so fond of that cast. and luke. she couldn't go to his parties, she would have to talk to him for a few hours every day. she couldn't just send him some random tiktoks anymore (and she was only just beginning to do so).
"alright, that's all. we'll see you on set soon."
joey said her goodbyes and hung the phone up. so. that was that. she was off. bye bye irvine. hello bucharest.
