Canon divergence
Carl gets separated early
He runs into Harley and they survive together. Harley's family has a base, but they trust him to go on runs
Carl and Harley save a group of teens (the 100 teens)
The teens don't trust adults so they have a nearby place they run/govern on their own
Sophia survives and somehow makes her way to the teen base. She becomes a badass with a fire axe.
They run on a council. Guard/security, medical, agriculture, etc. Each has a representative. Carl is the "leader" because he's level-headed. Harley is the go between the teens and his family's base
The hunting group runs into Rick and the others and is taken back to their base. They are surprised to see their children thinking they died.
They want to know who's in charge and when they find out they're children they want to take over "for their safety" (mainly Lori and Carol. I want Carl and Rick to have a good relationship)
