Oc started learning ballet with Rory at Miss Patty's studio and was very skilled and loved it. Miss Patty encouraged them to find another studio that had better "connections" for job opportunities for OC in the future
OC got involved with Hartford society earlier than Rory as their grandparents are paying for his advanced ballet classes
Lorelai was worried OC would be forced to work harder and was just a child, but OC loves it still so she lets him keep going, but the second he says it's too much she'll be there helping him quit
