Chapter 3: Keeger

Me and Elaine were back at my house getting ready for the Keeger and by getting ready I mean sneaking some of my parents beers from the fridge.

"Did you invite the Pogues?" Elaine asks.

I nod grabbing beer cans out of the fridge.

"Even when Landon told you not to?" Elaine questions.

"Mhm." I hum shoving the cans into the plastic cooler.

"I like this Skylar." The girl smiles.

I chuckle.

I close the cooler and stand up grabbing picking it up and I smile.

"Ready?"

"Yup!" Elaine cheers running to my Jeep.

"Mom! Dad! I'm going to the Keeger!" I shout to my parents grabbing my keys off the hook by the door.

"Have fun!" My dad shouts.

"Be safe!" My mom shouts as I close the door.

The two girls pile in the Jeep and start driving to the beach where the event is being held.

"Wonder if Rafe is going to be there." Elaine points out.

God I hope not

"Hopefully no." I say not taking my eyes off the road.

Elaine giggles.

"You want him there." Elaine jokes.

"You wish." I scoff.

"No, you wish!" Elaine emphasizes the word you.

I just roll my eyes.

"If I were you, I would swoop on that." Elaine says.

"Ok go ahead maybe you'll get off my ass about it then." I say with a fake smile.

"Yeah but I can't just steal your husband like that." The brunette girl shrugs.

I scoff more loudly this time.

"We're here!" I smile and park somewhere down the beach where all the other cars are.

I grab the cooler and Elaine gets out the car following me.

While walking down the beach I see the Pogues.

"Guys!" I shout.

The four Pogues heads whip in my direction.

"Skylar!" JJ cheer's running towards me.

I hug him when he reaches my range.
