"How do you feel about Brett?"

"I've never slept with a guy who's married."

"That doesn't answer the question, Kris."

"I don't know to be honest."

"I really have a feeling that you might like him a little bit. I can tell, Kris. Every time you talk about him, I see a little glow on your face that has never happened."

"I... Maybe, but it doesn't matter. Tess loves him and it would absolutely crush her. Besides... It's not like it's my first time sleeping with someone and not hearing from them again."

Zoey raised her eyebrows. "What makes you think that he won't contact you?"

"He's married, Zoey. I was just a quick lay for him, it is easier that way. I can't have feelings for him, it would ruin everything between him and Tess."

"You can lie all you want, even Kevin feels like you have feelings for him, and I know Brett likes you just as much."

"Why do you say that?"

"He told Kevin."

"What?"

Zoey nodded. "He likes you, Kris."

"But what about Tess?"

"He mentioned nothing about her, Kris."

"I can't get caught up with a married man. I would hate myself forever."

"Well, there's a difference between a relationship and hooking up."

"I'm going to bed."

Zoey smiled. "Sounds good, see you in the morning."

I went to the spare room and laid down, my head absolutely killing me. I heard my phone vibrate on the nightstand and I ignored it. It was probably Tess but after it vibrated three more times, I looked at my phone.

I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did.

Maybe we should make this a daily thing. She'll never know.

Because I can't stop thinking about you.

I had nothing to say to Brett. He should regret what we did as much as I do.
