Prince's POV

"Alright everybody for these next few shows we have VIPs. So after we perform we all need to comeback and wait for them. Don't leave, don't start changing clothes, just wait."

People around the room nod. Miko and Andre smirk to each other thinking about the women they might meet. Wendy Gayle, and Lisa shrug it off, meeting fans was never their favorite part. They  all like to go to bed soon after performing. Everyone else seems pretty neutral about it including Genevieve.

"Genny babe, come here." She gets up from her stretch and walks over to me. I wrap her in my arms without even thinking about it. She smiles resting her chin on my bare chest as she looks up at me. "How do you feel about meeting the fans?"

"They aren't my fans but I look forward to seeing you all meet them."

"They're your fans too, mama. Don't you hear the way they scream for you?"

"I'm just a dancer and a background singer."

"So? Fink only plays his keys and he has fans." Miko says pointing to Fink in the corner.

"I know they're dying to get to know you."

"Yea, G. You're the mystery girl in every magazine." Andre chuckles.

"Five minutes until curtain." One of the stage managers says popping her head in.

"Thank you, five." Genevieve says softly.

"Theater kid." I smirk.

"Jock." She smirks back then sighs sinking down into her stretch. She winces before sinking into it further.

Genevieve's POV

Tonight's show went great. Three down one more to go. I walk backstage with everyone else and we all pile into one of the dressing rooms. We all take seats, wiping with sweat from our brows. I pick up a bottle of water and take a seat in the back. I know Prince wants me to be optimistic but it isn't my show and that's okay. It starts with the screaming in the hall. Someone opens the door and directs people inside. One by one they enter. And they walk in smiling, holding their T-shirts and posters. Print smiles, signing the shirts and posters, and passing them to the band defense smiles and waves as other people show up and talk to them. I sit in the corner, drinking water. A few people wave at me, but no one speaks. Not beyond a passing you did great. Until a man walks in. He looks past the band and directly at me. I look up, feeling his gaze on me and smile when I recognize an old friend.

"Alex?!" I exclaim walking to the front of the room.

" Genevieve, it's so good to see you." He hands me the bouquet of flowers and I accept them with a smile. I throw my arms around him eager to be close to my dear my friend. I can't believe he's here.

"Who is this?" Prince asks walking up to us.

" This is Alex, my old dance partner."

"It's nice to meet you! Me and Genevieve go way back."

"Yea, we were part of the same dance company as children."

"You've got one hell of a dancer in your group." Alex says before turning to me. "You got time to talk? I have to know how you got here." I hold his hand and lead him to the back room where I had just been sitting. He sits across this week with a large smile and I still can't believe it.

"I forgot you moved to Detroit. Are you still with that dance company?"

Yeah. We're putting on The Nutcracker this winter."
