Prince's POV

"Yea. Yea. I don't know how she'll take it but I'll talk to her. Yea alright. Okay. Bye." I sigh into my hands as I hang up the phone. We've alone been home for three days and it feels like the whole world is talking. There's been so much buzz since we did our trial run and a lot of it's about Genevieve. More of it than we thought. So much of it that the record company set up an interview and a photoshoot. They want us to clear the air about some things and promote the album together. The only issue is she's never done anything like this before and I don't know how she'll feel about it. It could be really good for her but I don't want to freak her out.

"You alright, boss?" Ronnie asks stepping into my study.

"I'm a little worried about something."

"Need to talk about it?" With raised eyebrows he sits in the chair across from me, his hands on his knees as he leans back waiting for me to speak.

"They want us to do an interview and a photoshoot but I don't think she's ready."

"Why not?"

"I still just think it's all so new to her. It's a little soon for us to be doing couple's interviews anyway." Ronnie nods to himself and sits up.

"What's the photoshoot for?"

"They wanted better pictures of us together for the interview. They might throw the pictures in with my Ebony photos but they haven't approved that with Ebony."

"You should go talk to her."

"She here?"

"Yea, she's up in her room."

"Okay, I'll go talk to her." We leave the office and I make my way to her. As I climb the stairs I prepare myself for her reaction and for the reassurance I may need to offer. I knock on her door before opening it and smile when I see her curled up in bed.

Closing the door, I slide out of my slippers and into her bed. I rest my head behind hers, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her close to me. She's been tired lately. They're doing construction on her street and it's been keeping her up. So, she comes over and tries to make up for lost time.

I love these moments. These quiet minutes where all I can hear is the gentle rhythm of her breathing and the light thumping of her heart. The smell of her skin and the oils in her hair soothe me as I take this moment with her. I sit up, needing to focus. It's not time to snuggle, it's time to talk.

"Genny babe."

"Can it wait until I wake up?"

"Not this time."

"What is it?" She asks annoyed, sitting up and putting her head on my shoulder.

"They want us to do an interview and a photoshoot."

"Like a phone interview?"

"No it'll be on tv."

"Okay."

"That doesn't bother you? It doesn't make you nervous?"

"A little but it comes with the territory."
