Prince's POV

"Hey, man. G alright?" Andre asks stepping into the hotel room.

"Yea we talked it over." I say with a smile arranging boxes on my bed. "It was actually just a bit of a misunderstanding."

"About what?"

"How we feel about each other. She was a little upset because she's never had a real Valentine and she felt like she had been following me all over the country but didn't know how I felt about her."

"So what happened?"

"I told her I love her and she told me she loves me." Andre doesn't say anything for a while. He walks up to me and puts his arm on my shoulder. Its his own way of saying "congratulations I'm proud of you".

"This all the stuff for tonight?" He asks looking down at the boxes.

"Yea. Her dress and her shoes. I've got the necklace, it's mixed in with my other stuff on the bus."

"What're you gonna wear?"

"Just that black tuxedo in the closet. Why?"

"Tired of trench coats and ruffle collars?"

"Trench coats? Yes. I still like these shirts. I think I'm going to keep them for a while."

"Alright man. Well we'll keep her away from the dressing rooms. I'll knock when she leaves." He pats my back, making his way out of the room leaving me alone with the boxes. I just hope she likes them.

"Thanks, Andre." I take a seat in a chair and wait for the signal. Honestly I'm kind of glad I told her when I did. I didn't think about how it would feel to walk into Valentine's Day together without telling her. Even worse, if I didn't say it today.

I decide not to focus on it anymore. I said it and she said it back. That's all that matters. I take a moment to write out a note. Since I'm surprising her, I want to make it a little fun.

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Tonight's a special night and I have something planned for you.

The reservations were made and my suit is all pressed. Go check near your duffel bag. It's time to get dressed."

I smile looking down at the note when there's a knock on the door. I peek out and see Andre. I give him a nod and begin to carry everything into their dressing room. I put it all in the corner near her things and smile seeing the boxes stacked together. Excitedly, I head to the stage and get ready for the performance.

__________

When the show is over I rush off the stage with Lisa in tow and head to the men's dressing room. I grab the note off the vanity and hold it out to her.

"Make her walk around a little bit and then give this to Genevieve." She nods turning on her heels and heading back towards the stage. I quickly shower and change into my nicer clothes. I always feel a little crazy in these monkey suits but she deserves me at my best. When the guys are finally back, I'm sitting in the chair getting my hair and makeup touched up.

They all sit and watch as it comes together. I'm sure Andre surprised I'm wearing a regular tux. I've always hated tuxedos, especially black ones, they remind me of stuffy church events. I wish they came in more interesting colors and patterns. Maybe that's something I can work on.

Someone else knocks on the door interrupting the comfortable silence of the room. Miko grabs the door and it's Ronnie bringing me the finishing touches of the night. He places a blue and white bouquet of flowers on the table and puts the jewelry box beside it. I can't help but smile seeing him in his all leather get up. He's a motorcycle enthusiast and likes to ride around in his free time. He's actually the one who taught me how to ride for the movie. I guess he's been out riding today and didn't change.
