Prince's POV
After her shower, Genevieve made us a quick breakfast and we sat down to eat.
"You excited for the photoshoot?" I ask around a mouthful of eggs.
"Yea, I think it should be fun. Any idea what their vision is?"
"When we talked about it they wanted us to look like we're performing. So probably stage clothes and performances poses."
"What time are we leaving?"
"Our flight leaves in a couple hours."
"How long will we be in LA?"
"Just a few days. We'll get in tonight, have the photoshoot in tomorrow morning and be back on Monday." She nods picking at her breakfast. She said she wasn't that hungry but I told her to try and eat anyway. "And before you ask we're all packed."
"I didn't pack anything." She looks at me through puzzled eyes.
"I know. I did for both of us."
"And you're sure you have everything?"
"Positive?"
"Yup."
"Even my allergy pills?" I smirk as Ronnie walks into the room and hands me a paper bag. I put it on the table and push it her direction. She reads the sticker attached to it and nods. "How'd you know I had a refill ready?"
"I heard you call it in." I shrug. She smiles softly at me as she sips from her mug.
"Can we leave for the airport a little early? I want to look at the planes."
"Sure. Don't wear anything heavy it's pretty hot in LA this week."
"Alright." I watch the wheels turn as she figures out what to wear. I reach across the table and slip my hand into hers. She looks at me for a moment then looks down at our hands. Her eyes sparkle a little as she looks up at me again. The gold shines through her amber brown eyes and I feel something in me change.
"T-Too nervous to eat, baby?" I stutter trying to recollect myself.
"A little." I watch as she starts to shrink away. She hates planes but I know she'll be happy to be in LA again. Gently, I grip her hand and she comes back to me.
"That's okay. We're going out to eat when we get there anyway." I look in her eyes reassuringly and see the same twinkle in her eye. "Go get changed. I'll meet you in the garage." She nods and heads upstairs, leaving me alone in the kitchen. I take a breath and do some last minute checks .
"Everything's ready for the trip, sir." Ronnie smiles twirling his keys.
"Put these in her carry on, please." I say handing him the bag of allergy pills. He takes them and tucks them away just as Genevieve walks in. She's wearing a long brown dress with a short white coat and white shoes. The brown is lighter than her skin but darker than her eyes and the white really pops. She looks incredible as always as she walks over to me. She leans into me, looking up at me as I hold her. I smile feeling the warmth of her body in my arms again.
"You ready, mama?" She nods and we head to the cat behind Ronnie.
Together in the back seat we rap. It's always nice talking to her and hearing what's on her mind. As she we get closer to the airport I get excited thinking about the surprise I have waiting for her. Well, there's more than one but this I the first one. We walk through the airport quickly, our bags are checked, and we find the perfect seat for plane watching right next to our terminal.
"You ever wonder what it's like?" She asks, her eyes glued to the window in front of us.
"What? To fly a plane."
